I was just in a bth game against samweb,seattle and another high rank player...everyone on their team except seattle was complaining about why i always drop my bomb and chase..i had hoagie and some others on my team including a noname..i told them i love to turn fight while my team bombs....i distract them ao my team can get in.....i kept killing them and they were getting a little upset....samweb said no one in my ranking does what i do...i said "oh well" .......whats up with that......i never recieved complaints like that before.......the way i see it is i love turn fighting, im not the best at long distance shooting but thats the way it is.....were they mad because they kept having to drop their bombs and chase me? Or because they kept getting ahot sown?......ever since i started playing, i never had so many complaints......seattle was the only red that didnt say anything, he has my respect.....


I dont meant to complain, but i expect new players to get upset but not higher ranks....

if u can't fight with a bomb u realy arnt that good we might ass well drop all games and make them dog fight. And if u think ur good because u drop bomb ur not. I never drop bomb unless it's on a hanger or carrier.

Well i guess i will continue to be" not that good".....i play the game by helping those who are bombing....i have had many compliments for that...also im not the only one......i do bomb sometimes.....alot of the games we win because i am distracting the red players.....
The game on my first post up above was won by my team.....in bth and btc there should always be bomber escorts and chasers ( distraction)......

Gen it seems you are like me sort of. What I do is I go to bomb but I engage other ppl on the way.I drop my bomb to go faster and have more monouverability right? This may not be how you do it but it can be why. I do fight with a bomb sometimes and I turn slower and go slower. I have no problem with others doing the same.

A chaser cant chase with a bomb on him...lol....i do bomb as u can see in my ranking...but i prefer to chase....this game is designed so players can use there talents to help win a game.....its time that some players start " thinking outside the box"......lets be creative!!

I do that too.In bomb the carrier games i drop it and land on enemy carrier.Somebody shoots me and i become a tank and bomb the carrier.

I think you can roughly divide the game into two categories of players. Chasers and straight on shooters, although there are obviously those that do both well. Many players fly "light" all of the time, and some of the best players I've ever played were bomb droppers, so I have to disagree that if you drop your bomb you aren't a good player. I know alot of the current bomb droppers, so I'll drop when they're around, so they can't circle back on me for an easy kill.

I think the difference between flying with and without a bomb is too drastic in the game and I personally would prefer that airplanes fly at the same speed whether they were "loaded" or not. That being said, that isn't the way the game works, so for me dropping one's bomb is a legitimate strategy within the context of game play. Doing it to just rack up kills is another kettle of fish and of course some players do this.

I personally do drop my bomb if the game situation dictates it. I never drop immediately though and I always try to bomb if I can. I actually think it's easier to shoot straight on "loaded" as well, so for straight on duels you're at a disadvantage if you drop. I'll drop if a game is "stalemated" to shake things up or I'll drop if I'm in a game where a straight on shooter is dominating the game and getting easy kills without too much work. I'll get on their tail,and the easy pickin's come to an end for them, and my team can get to base or carrier with the chaos and disruption I'm causing. Basically you can knock a hot player off their stride with this strategy at times.

To drop or not drop is a part of game play strategy IMO. If your doing it to help your team, I think it's perfectly okay. Doing it just to rack up kills and pad your stats clearly isn't in the spirit of the game concept.

I remember being chastised when I was a group captain for dropping my bomb by the only soos.

The way I play it is, Ill drop the bomb if I think our team is overpowered. Last night I was in a game with living dead and his army of 6-7 sub group capt. players

I ended up losing but I was able to hold off a few waves of attacks by flying without the bomb, then picking off from the highest rank down.

You simply wouldnt, in that situation be able to hold off a wave while ur slowed by a bomb.

If I see our team has chasers like boang or harley on it, than I would keep my bomb and try to go head on.

Its whatever the situation calls for. I dont think their is anything wrong with the chaser approach.

I usually look for who is a chaser and whose the bomber in the advancing wave. I dont worry too much about chasers passing me by because all they can do their is wait which can be funny sometimes

If, I drop the bomb, I prefer to drop it within the privacy of our own area away from the enemy. This allows you to "act" like your carrying a bomb when you're not

if i am in a dogfight game or cap the carrier i drop right away unless like today there is a tank spawn killer or a tank.

I only chase in a dogdight or zep. Other games ur suppose to bomb so i think u should bomb. U can xhallenge someone that u want to fight, but otherwise i dont think that a peraon that never bomb is of anyuse to the team. I dont care that much when someone chases me with bomb drop but i hate when they are on my team because they dont help. And u said that it help team get in and bomb which is not true. Other team woupd just take a sec to shoottthe guy bombing then get back to the chase. I respect that u like chasing and u should. I usually ask them. And if they say no then we just play head on. So that way u get better at head on and chasing. If u onyly chase then what if ur team was full of noobs, who wouod bomb. Why do u think that the 2 best xhasers skydavis and dawsonn try going head on.

Ur red wtf, why disnt u tell me, u r one hell of a chaser. I always wondered who u were because i havnt seen u in game. Glad to know that.

First off i have helped winning many games by doing what i do...i have been complimented by many and also while in game my team members tell me to keep the reds occuppied while they bomb, and you know what? We win many times....also if i am in a game with new players, then i bomb, otherwise the game will be lost....you saying chasers dont help is not true.....i dont chase just for kills...preoccupying the enemy is a good thing.

I try to win most of the time...have to admit that i do like to rack up some kills...thats why mostly everyone strives to increase their kills with less deaths.......i cant really help but play the way i do....for one thing its only a game for fun, use your talents and meet good people.getting to be where the top aces dictate the rules....example.....i dislike spawnkilling in MOST situations and alot of the aces like it. Do i tell them NO you cant do that? Of course not...They say its ok......BUT!! When i choose a creative way to help my team to win and help myself in the ranking. Then OH NO!!! You must not do that....its wrong!!! I kind of feel its ONE SIDED in their favor......i sure wish the many players who have played with/against me that dont mind my way of playing would come on and back me up......
I know its a game as i already said....but i dont like one sided players dictating the game......The end result may be me leaving the forum.....and eventually leaving the game if it continues(I HOPE NOT)............i like being friendly and playing with friendly people ( WHICH THERE ARE MANY)......

Thats not really a creative way to win. There is no creative way to win, gen why sont u chase and go head on. U try to be amazing at both, u should be good at head on and chasing. And use urself as a weapon not a distraction. U should be able to win because of u and how do u bomb with noobs on ur team. I havent lost a game in months, i dont distract people by chasing them, go on bomb and then chase and game over. Win from all side. It helps on rankong web as bombed hangers, kills fast, and easier to climb the rankomg web. Much much faster.

I play it as a game...dont let bombers through....thats how i see it.....most of my chasing is whith higher ranks, who are more likely to get a bomb through, along with pre occupying them so my team can get through....my game objective is exactly that (also racking up kills)......i dont play many video games but when i do, i play to win and increase my score......otherwise there is no sense of playing......

I respect players who are way better than me, such as yourself and many many others......but as long as there are high ranking players on the opposite side, i will turn fight with them...

First off head on has always been difficult due to my connection....somtimes my connection is good so i can shoot head on....

Secondly whether i bomb or not, when i make it to the red's base i chase the pilots who are taking off and distract them while my team bombs.....works alot.......and i rack up kills....look at my kill/death ratio (not that it matters)

Players can be creative on how they chase......

I dont remember playing skydavis, maybe when i was newer.....but me and dawson often chase each other.....always a pleasure playing with him.....i told him not too long ago that i realy enjoy playing with and against him

You are fine in what you do gen jack it's a multifaceted game with many types of pilots displaying different styles you have to be able to adapt to those styles to defend your end of the map or help your team bomb.

I don't think flying light is wrong or semi cheating , team killing or spawn killing are the only things that are worth moaning about IMO.
