Of course. The important thing is that it is easy to see who you are, so I would suggest you choose one of these that don't have "plane" in their names. The two last ones would probably be best known and easiest to recognize:

CAMERAMAN
JOURNALIST-2
PHOTOREPORTER2
PHOTOGRAPHER-2

Your name will of course follow you whatever vehicle you choose, only when it becomes possible to create new squads, you will probably not have the PRESS squad symbol over your name when you're in a tank.

It will be interesting to see to what degree you will be let alone in your photo-tank, even if you state clearly that you are "unarmed" and a non-fighting player.

STATUS CHANGE

The committee is glad to announce that journalist HAMERS has started his productive career, that his time as an apprentice is over and that he from now on can count himself as a full member of the press corps. The committee notices that HAMERS has chosen the humorous writing style pioneered by journalist FlyMagic (now missing in action), and that he intends to make photography from armed vehicles his specialty. In the note enclosed with the press card, the committee states:

"It is with pride that we welcome Hamers in our ranks as a full-fledged and productive photo journalist, and we look forward to seeing more of his work from the battlefields in the time to come!"

It does not look like size is what is the problem, only that you don't do what you HAVE TO: first upload the photos to an on-line service like Photobucket, Picasa or Skydrive.

Then copy the link you get there, and paste the link, not the photo into the editor.

This editor and this forum doesn't allow you to upload photos to it, only links to photos found elsewhere on the net.

Use the free application Photobucket. Then after having uploaded your photo to Photobucket, click on "img code" to get the link.

Paste the link into the message. Forget about trying to attach the actual photos. :-)

There is one thing you must remember though. Don't move or delete or change the photos you have used from your Photobucket account, or they will disappear from the messages. Then people can no longer go back and look for things in old messages.

If you've changed or removed something, the editor allows you to edit your old messages, and you can paste in a new link. It will work fine, so long as you preserve the img and /img codes, and don't add spaces righ after or before the codes.
