Hi all-

WOLF.PACK has always been invite only. We are selective and do not take squad surfers. In the last few hours, we've had an uninvited person hack in 5-6 times. Zup has been given this person's name and we do have the 'invite only' checked for our squad still it continues to happen. Not sure why. 

Just an FYI to other squads who might have the same issue.

Yep, and you will always be removed. 

That’s not very nice to exclude pilots who received invitations to join.

Yes, so something odd is going on. I did hear from Zup and if it happens again we'll not kick, but contact Zup asap so he can see what is going on and fix it. Just make sure no one sneaks in a squad. 

 

Don't worry, nobody hacked anything, it's completely normal. Lieutenants can send invitations, in fact it's the only squad-related thing they can do.

In fact it was Phillipson (a lieutenant) who invited Juan Marni to [Ñ] The Black Dragons squadron, not an officer.

Yeah I didn't find anything wrong with the system. He got an invitation.

Hey Deez! Sorry, I think there was a little misunderstanding here. What my brother tried to explain is that any member can invite anyone to the squadron, it doesn't matter if it's a Lieutenant or an Air Marshal. 

What you're saying now, if I'm not wrong, is that only a Group Captain or above can accept or reject members. That's true as well. 

What do I mean? I'm saying that inviting a member isn't the same as accepting.

Inviting is clicking the invite button that it's shown at the pilots section. It can be done by anyone who is in a squad, so you can invite your friends to the squadron you belong. I personally like this as it makes the game a bit more democratic, but it's true that it's a bit senseless for certain squads. As a MORAF, the only way that you can control this is by kicking out every new recruit that you personally didn't invite. 






The last one is how it is shown to the invited guy

This will be shown at the squadron chat like 'X is now a member of the squadron'





Accepting someone in your squadron is accepting requests. Requests must be done in the squadron section by the pilot who wants to join. 




Here I tried to send a request to join your squadron, but it obviously didn't let me as I am already in a squadron.

This is what it is shown to any member of the squadron that you are requesting to enter. That member must be Group Captain or above. 





It will show later 'Y accepted X as a member of the squad'. 



I hope we finally managed to explain ourselves correctly. 

[P.s. I managed to leave my squad for 30 seconds and I've just sent a request to join Wolf.Pack (I still don't understand how I could send it as it is an invite-only squadron). Nevermind, nobody should see 'Juan Marni is requesting to join the squadron'. If you wolves see that, then we have an issue lmao.]

Juan it is showing that you are now asking to join our squad. LoL Now if I hit 'accept' are you in 2 squads?

It has always been my understanding that only certain members could accept or kick people from their squad. In this way the MORAF and a few select others have a choice as to who belongs.  

Guys I'm full time with the squadron wars release so I don't have time to go through all the details. If you find a bug or something that is not consistent please let me know with a step by step on how to reproduce so I can look into it for the next update.

No, unfortunately you can't do anything to prevent people from inviting people to your squadron.

So really it doesn't make sense to give a lieutenant the ability to invite if you don't give then the ability to accept or reject.....because if a player sends a request to join and it gets rejected then all that player has to do is tell his buddy to send him an invitation and he can bypass the whole pending approval and waiting, corrrect?

Yeah, you are completely right. Maybe a nice solution would be giving the ability to invite to squadron members who are Wing Commander (a rank that nowadays is useless) or above.
