What I would like to say on the locked thread, but I can't, so this seems like the place:
a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people,[1] by posting inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog), either accidentally[3][4] or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[5] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[6]
I'm sure I've been guilty, but I try very hard to also be a positive influence around here too.
Looks like this GOG troll is only "different". He seems to enjoy a lot of protection. And Kevy, although you are one of my favorite mods, I really don't understand why you want to prop up a troll and tear down a long time respected player, even if he sometimes is a little on the controversial side. GOG's entire run on the forum has been in an effort to start trouble. Granted... Everything he says is within the "rules" but nevertheless. I find that much different than a user who chooses to be part of this team or that one, or just even his own and then razzes the folks on the other teams about why his is better. I can't see any productive reason for his existence, other than to start trouble. Obnoxious and silly trouble, but still trouble. With that being said, I guess I have had a little too much fun at his expense, but as he has not bothered to let us know that he is human, I'm not really worried about it. Say one positive thing about something, or post one single post that is not simply trolling, and I'll try to turn you into a "customer" and welcome you with open arms.
Until then, if GOG keeps acting like a troll, he will be treated as one... And will generally just be used as fodder for the b/s cannon.
