GreyGhost, put 'er there. I don't expect you, Davy or I to be on each other's Xmas card lists (although nothing is impossible) but I could not agree more that petty vindictiveness has altered the character of what should be and used to be a happy little distraction we all enjoyed together.

It's well known that among my very favorite people in this entire international community are at least a few members of The Misfits. They know who they are, I hope. I would simply ask those at the opposite end of my list to chill on strident words like "sociopath" (yeesh!) "leading our youth down the road to misery" (yikes!) and less loopy, accusations of Mod-power-abuse.

I'll get this said here because I hope not to be having to post on this topic again; Reid, Kevy, Jacob, Gen~~Jack, --J--, Manfred. Michael, and yes, I, worked our collective tail off trying to the best of our ability to keep Dogfight fair and clean for everyone. None of us are thrilled with the way Joaquin handled the situation, or with the fact that not a syllable of thanks was ever aimed our way across the entire year and change of donating our personal time and energy, but we never complained. Not outside of the Star Chamber, at least. Not only were the other Mods never "under my spell", whatever Whiplash imagines that to mean, we more often than not went tooth and nail over decisions and there were times when we probably wanted to throttle each other. They're some of the most dedicated and generous people I know here and we all to a person took the responsibility very seriously. Most of us have been in touch privately but I'd like to go on public record now with my own thanks to them, it was a pleasure and a privilege.

No. Categorically and as whatever god or science or brand of beer you worship is my witness, I have never abused the powers of a Moderator to influence games or improve my stats. Never. Not once. My stats suffered appreciably while I was a Mod. This wild eyed accusation, and the mad suggestion that I "hate all christians" are the only products of Whiplash's smear campaign that actually upset me.

Beyond trying to settle some score I didn't care enough to know we had I don't know what Whiplash hoped to achieve. Or maybe I do. He's right, the Star Chamber security was lax. He's right, we skewered a handful of people who annoyed us for one reason or another at one time or another. Most of them had skewered me publicly, no big surprises there. The others I've communicated with. In private, as it should be. Whiplash could not be more wrong in insisting that the fact that he could violate our privacy meant that he should, or that he had the right. It's a question of scruples, not a question of avenging unpopular personal opinions intentionally unearthed by unethical means.

Well said and I must say this as the third Asshat.I have let petty bull crap get in the way of friendships.
I once had a friend in this game who I used to talk with all the time and enjoyed talking with.
I Lost that friend because of stupid ass petty little video game bullshit.I said and brought crap to this house.We have all been in this arena many yrs some more than others.I have made some great true friends in this game.Friends I talk with on a daily bases.i HAVE LOST ONE FRIEND AND THATS ONE TO MANY.One friend who I used to vent with and used to listed to my crap when I was going through a rough time with my job.Most know I am a firefighter and we all know as firefighters we cant usually talk to our family members SO WE VENT TO FRIENDS.But this guy would listen to my crap whenever I needed a ear to bend.Just dont make the same mistak I made letting a game get in the way of real life friendships.I did.

Most know who I am speaking of and after reading Ghost Draxx and Wig's posts we have all decided to man up and get back to what we all share a passion for this game.
