I am a pilot and I was thinking of creating a squadron for pilots. If there are not enough pilots then I was thinking of opening it up to others that involved in aviation.

Before I do this can I get some feedback as to how many actual pilots or others involved in aviation we have that might be interested in joining.

If there is already a squad for pilots let me know.

Thanks.

I will be going for my Commercial Pilot's training this September but I haven't picked a flight school yet. Where can I find you?
It will be a darn good experience to be trained by a fellow dog-fighter ;)

Hey man im in knoxville but im no longer current. Was thinking about it. Went flying a couple of months ago, had to go to Atlanta Georgia. It was so much fun. What city are you in? My wife keeps telling me to get my medical and pick up a few students. Knoxville has a great little school however it's best to learn in a city. I flew Cessna 402 out of long beach calif on charters and instructed out of Hawthorne calif which is only 5 miles from LAX.
When you learn how to navigate around big airports, lot of heavy traffic and restricted areas you are much much more able to go anywhere safely. Several pilots who Learned in small towns had gotten into trouble going into big city's.

Also pick up your instrument rating, never leave home without it.lol
Besides im going to be 62 on Sunday, im getting to old.

I live in Daytona Beach Florida and did my private at Phoenix East. I'm in Africa now on some business project and I plan to move out of Florida when I return to US. Got folks in Alabama and Missisipi but Tennesse sounds great.

You are the type of Instructor I am looking for, Old. Like to get that 'Old School' touch, when there were no
GPS's and Hi-tech navaids, flying by seat of your pants sort of thing (not the "flying Irishman"). Hope you make up you mind about instructing.

By the way, I love twin pistons like the seneca, Cessna 402 and 404s. Phoenix want me to train on the Diamond DA42, I hate that bird its too hi-tech you dont learn a thing in it it does whole lot on its own.

Thanks Davy

Masuruli, I finished my private at Phoenix East in 1988. I was going to Embry Riddle at the time for aircraft maintenance and avionics. I live at an air park in Green Cove Springs, FL south of Jacksonville now. give me a shout next time you are back here if you want to do some dogfighting in my Mustang 2.
