Hi there!

I'm working on the Squadron Management panel and I'm looking for ideas.

The obvious feature is to be able to create a squadron. At that point, you will be the owner of the squadron.
Question: Imagine you recruit 20 people and you, yourself decide to go to another squadron. What should happen?
a) You can't. You are the owner of one squadron so you can't switch.
b) You can, but then your squadron gets deleted and all 20 members are squadron-less.
c) You can, but the squadron is leader-less.
d) You can, and next in line (second that joined) is new leader.
e) give ideas.

Question: Should we allow someone be in two or more squadrons at a time?

Question: Should we allow to rename squadrons?

Question: What should be the name of the squadron creator? Leader? Boss? Owner? :?

The current squad leader or squad owner could promote some one to leader and then he could leave the squadron. So you are a squad leader you want to be in a diffrent squad so you promote your trusty friend to leader and you get demoted to the rank right below the leader as in the next highest rank there you can leave the squad or yiu can stay as second in command.

We should not let people be in two squads because if both thoue squads go to war which side do you join.
Yes we should be able to rename squads because maby like I said leader wants leave so there becomes the squads ne leader and should be able to change the squad name.
The name of the creator should be the squadron leader.

I hope these help you out or give you a better idea on how your going to do it.

In the event a squad leader leaves, they shouos appoint a new leader. Thee should be ablw to be multiple leaders too.

Thanks Z!

Yeah, D for sure. In all my time dealing with clans, "D" has always been the choice.

I don't think people should be allowed to be in two squadrons. I know myself and the 111th leaders wouldn't take to fondly to someone "playing the fence", hahahah. But if for instance there were a moderator/Admin only squadron -- I could see being in that while maintaining the current squadron.

In the end, it's just easier for people to only be in one squadron at a time.

I don't know about renaming squadrons. It'd be a big problem when you have a leader changing the name every other week.

Hmmm....I guess "Leader" would be fine. I'm not really sure that'd matter though, hahahah.
Just my thoughts! :)

D

No only one squad. It would dilute the whole squad scenario.

No squads would develop their own identities and history changing names would just promote irresponsible behavior and not one of integrity.

Squad Leader sounds good.

Exceptions can always be requested and granted by the game leader Zuperman.

You have very good ideas. But heres what im promoting. Instead of giving the leader to the next highest rank, or who joined first, give it to the person that is most loyal to your squadron. This gives motivation to all group members to stay loyalband trustworthy to the group... Amd can even improve upon dogfight its self. This means a cut on number of spawnkills, annoyance, and other small problems we face with the behavioral issues of players today.
As for the questions, honestly, not to be rude, but those arent the questions to be asking. Questions that should be asked are like how di you plan to keep up with your group (updates, news, etc.); how can you controll your group?; how ill you oganize it?
As for naming, i believe Group Leader should work just fine.

Thanks Z, for this awesome WWI Simulator. Glad to have you here.

I agree with terminator.

I don't think that the name really matters, anyway. A diamond by any other name is still a diamond. Unfortunately, the same is true with mud. :P

...Calvin, a Saphire and a Ruby are on a molecular scale -- diamonds. That does not make them diamonds though as diamonds are worth much more.

Same goes for mud. There are different names for different types of mud.

Bad analogies. :P

Zuperman well the choice is clear. Almost everyone wants d, only be in one squad, no renaming, and leader is fine.
