I received the auto update today, playing on Apple iPad 2

I can login, the game will start with my plane crashing on the runway, I hit "retry" then it respawns without crashing, but is frozen on the runway i.e. moving the throttle up and down, hitting the brakes, all has no effect.

The only time I've managed to fly is bomb the carrier mode, where the map just show me sitting on base runway the whole time, but the plane crashes in mid air for no reason after less than a minute.

In practice the mode the plane just crashes, upon start and every respawn after hitting retry

We all have the same problem.

I'm sure ZUP is working on it

i'm receiving several reports of this but it never happen on my ipad, otherwise I would have never released it

Trying to figure out what's going on but it will require an update and apple takes 1 week to release them!

For now I didn't enforce the update, so people that doesn't update won't have the problem until I see what's going on.

Thank you ZUPERMAN, is there a way we can go back to the old update?

I recieved the message that an update is required to play this morning. I have the same issues on ipad 2, latest operating system. I have paid for my subscription!

Unfortunately apple doesn't allow for roll backs manually. This problem happen on Apple devices that are 2+ year old and should happen on Android too but nobody ever told me about it

Anyway, it sucks, I fixed it already and sent it to apple but they take days to release updates to the public

I just checked, app store shows 4.4. 75 available, but when i install then it shows older version 4.4.57 installed. Still makes no difference, plane crashes on spawn-in, no throttle.

I thought I was on one of the older droid devices here, Samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0. I never seen anything that resembles this on any of the updates. Unless it was one of those updates that got updated again before I had a chance to play it. I play everyday exept on weekends. There is no means to the madness on the weekends.

same thing happening to me. Can't get off the ground.all kinds of things going on.ipad 5.i guess I'm stuck playing on my Asus Android.not nearly as good as my Ipad.

I noticed during optimization at level 4 while doing the update I was kicked to my home screen never finishing the full optimization.
Now when I get in a game it just crashes every time when I spawn in but my Throttle still works.. but seconds after take off it just crashes again then again when I spawn back in. A never ending cycle of crashes.
I use an iPad mini

If you got the latest update from Apple, DO NOT TURN OFF GRAPHICS.
The bug that stops you from playing is only on the old terrain system. Unity made a huge bug on it and it doesn't detect the old terrain (the same way it wasn't detecting the houses next to the airport).

This means that the airplane things it is outside the map and it immediately displays the 'crash' popup.

It is fixed already after a very hard day finding out what was going on. It is sent to Apple but until the update is out, either do not update to the version online today or if you do and have a fast enough device: iPhone 5, ipad 4. Don't remove graphic quality since once you go into the old terrain system... you are in trouble.

Aaaah......I had all the graphics turned on ( I'm quite sure) when i first tried out the new update.







You might be able to see by the detailed water etc.

The apple update is out!

IMPORTANT: I could not test this update. It was a critical situation that fixed the main problem that stopped people from playing, so if you are in that situation, update.

If your game is fine on Apple, don't update. Who knows what issues may be there when I didn't have time to test it.

Updated on apple ipad 2 ... Working with detailed terrain on. If turned off dont work.

But with detailed terrain on game is verry slow.

I jump out after been shot and lend allmost underground....couldnt move at all ( see picture )

And ZEP just right now bombed our own hangers...after i try to shoot at zep i was banned for 5 min as traitor

Also, when fighting on the ground my rifle scope is so ZOOMED in and sensitive it's impossible to aim with any accuracy.

Now I just updated yesterday to see if repairs were made. Seems to have solved the take-off problem, but now I can't fight on the ground after bailing out. The guy is BURIED UP TO HIS WAIST and wont move so I can't get to the tank. WHATS UP? WILL THESE PROBLEMS BE FIXED?

ALSO... what is the sense of having terrain super detailed with hazardous memory intensive TREES that will crash your plane if you hit them... WHY USE DETAILED SCENERY?

ALSO... Is the yellow dot recording button functional?

ALSO... I have NO BOOT button many people are talking about.

ALSO... I'm being billed every month to have the privilege to play this game... AM LOSING FAITH in the infrastructure

If ANYONE can steer me towards some answers to these question I'd sure appreciate it.

Davy says, yes sir there are some problems folks but this is important for me to say:

This game is A WORK IN PROGRESS, it was a work in progress from the creation of the game and it will always be a work in progress, this is the nature of any business.

Each update will cause some problems, some funny ( remember the MOLESTER TANKS) and some serious however ZUPERMAN will fix them, in the meantime please bear with the game until the next update allows you to kick butt and if possible try to adapt if you are able to keep playing. No matter what dogfight is worth sticking around for. The game and forum rocks.

Davy, you may be a teamkiller, but you are still a smart man. Good post. Watch your back!

One more thing zup,

When you using joystick, senzitivity is always on default. U can change senzitivity, but at the entering in game all resets....

Please, fix this also

If you look at map screen, you will see, that someone from oposite team is flying out of map

I just played a zep mission.. Kamikazi DOM couldn't even take off... Hussar couldn't respawn after getting shot down.. the planes are so big it's like dogfighting with BOMBERS! My plane seems to be 1/2 the size of the zep! Can I even turn around in the carrier hold anymore? I don't know.. I am afraid to try lol!

This game feels more like a arcade game with fat balloon like planes as opposed to an aircraft simulation WWI Dogfight game that I grew to love so much.. I don't like the new update at all.

Zuperman, why did you make the planes so large?? Was there a lot of lobbying on the behalf of those with 20/200 eyesight going on that I wasn't aware of? Did the idea of actually "dogfighting" scare so many pilots that they would rather just shoot blimp sized fighters 1/2 way across the map with machine guns with the trajectory of a magnetic railgun? Did that seem appropriate?

Most machine guns mounted on planes in WWI were Spandaus & Vickers with maximum accurate ranges of 200 to 300 yards max... not laser beam accurate weapons taken off an Imperial Starcruiser lol!

I personally hate the new update.. and I don't think I am alone. But I will keep my fingers crossed that things will improve on the next one.. rather than the backward sliding game we currently have. I had more fun getting hammered by everyone learning the game the hard way a year ago than I am having now with this new update.
