Jezzz Swop are you serious?

Well the mods a few months back were way more upset than i was on the insulting joking on the subject that was just as similar to this.

That is stating some alleged facts on how some mod supposedly reacted on a said similar joke on a matter that some fanatics thinks should be illegal, but in my and the majority of the western worlds countrys think should be every womans right to do. I even think that in some cases a very late one is acceptable (like 15-60 years late)

I didnt mention legal or illegal and that wasnt the point of my request to mute. Because this insulting about the subject matter of abortion is insulting. I only brought up what mods did a few months back but even if they didnt. (One can easily look back and see)
It doesnt change what i said. This is not based on views of abortion being legal or illegal but based on the joking insult toward those involved.

I have since edited my post, and will know in the future to refrain from using that word where you can see it. I've only been on the forum for a few months now and wasn't here to see the old post you referred to that was such a source of insult. In my country, ab****** has been legal for so long that we don't give it a second thought, I failed to consider there are some parts of the world where they don't believe in such things.

I can see you don't want this to escalate, but in my world YOU are NOT the one who should be apologizing.

First off this is a dogfight forum where many people have there own opinions. Let's keep the forum clear of sensitive topics so that we are not stepping on anyone's toes. I have my views and y'all have yours. Respect one another and keep the forum free of unnecessary and sensitive topics(which do not belong here) which will only cause strife!!.. If you want to debate certain issues, then go to the private message and do it there.

Its not the term but the subject matter. My objection is not based on it being legal or being against it being legal but the subject matter itself. Think about the women who are getting the proceedure done(whether u are for or against). Its insensative to the women who have it done. As well as to all the others which is not the point.

I also find the double standard by those who disagree with me interesting. I have apologized for "one word" (not vulgar or a curse word) before and the same pilots who voiced or thanked support were just as "bent out of shape" as this. But in this its considered no big deal. Wow. The double standards continues.

I wasn't thrilled with Pork's joke and thought it was in bad taste. I didn't bother PM'g him because it was a simple failed attempt at humor IMO, no biggie. As GenJackson said, sensitive topics are better debated offline. Swop's request for a mute was over the top IMO -- it should have been an easy PM, followed by an easy edit, or not, by Pork.

Pork's misplaced comment was an error in jokishness, a far cry from introducing debate about sensitive issues. I know the difference between the two. Do you?

Manfred. This was made public and on blacklist. I prefer the general Jackson way of sound things as moderator for things like this. To me this was more over the top than what is needed by PM. When i go to blacklist to see pilots in question i expect not to see insulting jokes toward women in tough positions and other jokes vulgar and insulting jokes. Something's are over the top and a normal PM wont do thats why general jack should be commended.

WOW, was it meant to be insulting? Or was it meant to be a joke? I have read most of the posts by my good friend Porky, he might be a little crazy, but I can tell you this much, It was not posted to aggravate, or torture anyone.

Very well put General. This is a dogfight forum where topics of this nature don't belong. Many times jokes and humorous comments made by someone are received in total different context. All part of our human nature and will always happen. If and when it does kindly let the other know that it is sensitive to you and request it go no farther. We are all friends and good people here and I confidently believe non of the respectful members here have any hate or intentions to lash out and hurt one another.

Like the Gen stated let's keep this (our) forum free of strife. Heck we all have our hands full at the present trying to rid all the trouble making Yahoo's from spoiling games.
