I can't install v4.0.4 on my HTC Desire Android 2.2

It says 'unable to install on USB storage or SD card'

Next time I tried I got 'Package file is invalid'

That's odd. Try removing the game first and installing it again. Also try rebooting your device. From the message it seems your memory might be full, so empty a bit of space by removing any other stuff you have around too.
