Hi Zuperman,

I was wondering if you could port Dogfight for Blackberry? Especially Blackberry 2.0. I know it may not be worth the effort, but it would be nice if you could add it to App World. Not too many airplane games on it.

Thanks,
TheGreat

Well, it's possible to play via PC as Z developed it on a PC, hahahah.

I would do anything to play it on PC though. THAT would be awesome.

Wouldn't it be difficult to make a pc version interface with the mobile phone online game?

No Blackberry support. My engine just doesn't support it. Also Blackberry are a pain in the butt for games, only a few would be able to play it.

About PC... I've just posted on another thread. So far, no desktop version. I test it from a pc but it's not a full version, it's my development environment. To actually package it as a game it requires many other things :)

Hi Zuperman,

Since you use Unity to develop the game, I suggest you check out Union: unity3d.com/union/.

Thanks,

I am going to say this as nicely as possible, why on earth would anyone buy a blackberry. I was a loyal blackberry user for years. I finally got fed up with RIMS inability to create a bug free long lasting phone. While Android can definetly be buggy, they do everything and more better. I like iphones, but I don't like the "club" factor associated with their products, meaning they are not cross compatable with anything, developing apps and software can be a pain, and they just in general don't like to share if you know what I mean, but I will say, you are usually assured that they will work. But just no variety either. IMO

I just asked for the BlackBerry support because of the lack of games, it could pick up. Also, I am an Android Developer, so I am a fan of Android. I got the BlackBerry PlayBook for free from BlackBerry and I saw the amount of games, and thought Dogfight would be a nice addition.

Yeah, it would be cool if they came back, but it would be difficult, I could be wrong, but I am assuming google and apple are bringing their "A" game with the new phones, and for RIM to catch up is going to be difficult. I am really surprised windows has not found a way to stake a larger claim in the market. I would go for a windows phone just because I use windows for everything. And it seems they are attempting to make everything cross compatible with the next version of windows, from a computer, to a tablet to a phone. Pretty big undertaking, maybe that will boost them, but I doubt it.
