If you lose in the OUTSIDE, you will also lose in the INSIDE...I think

Like in the zeplen game people hated it now when your on the German side people love the game.

I generally leave protect the zep and captire carrier unless theres good players that will make it interesting. Theres no point, as your not the main target in either, wheras in a airport or bomb carrier game, you spawn where the objective is, making yourself an objective. See you in the skies!

And if you die frome camping you lose points.

You need a system where personal rewards and mission rewards line up. What if you only keep the points if your team wins the mission?

I agree CiA. Don't underestimate how much points mean to lower ranks who want the better planes. There may not be point farmers but there seem to be kill farmers like when super-aces just circle over runways doing spawn kills on lower ranks that have no bearing on the mission/game... I notice alot of the forum discussion is about how to keep the super-aces happy and in the game instead of the quality of the game for the newer players.

Well put Seattle. But don't forget sometimes it's the aces holding the cover down for newer player to get in and bomb. It's when they overstay and just spawn kill thats a little annoying. But that is part of game. In the carrier bomb it takes some patience and coordination to beat back the enemy. In even matched ( old and new players) games it takes a while to win. Most times there are only one or two players still in mission from start to finish.

Sitting on the carriers just waiting to be shot at or bombed, and not taking part in the fight is boring, and should be rewarded.

But is the bombing of carriers rewarded?

With top fighters around, it's hard for an average pilot to get close enough to hit the carrier with the bomb, and it's very tempting just to drop it.

At times most players just rid themselves of their bombs to be able to fight better, and the carrier bombing game deteriorates into a dogfight that goes on for ever and ever.

The bombers have to play an escape game, and can't take part in the real fight, because they're too slow. They should be rewarded too.

I got disoriented and landed on the enemy carrier the other day . I've thought it would be fun that if you landed and parked on the enemy carrier or enemy base in the destroy the base mission that it should be worth something...?

I was thinking about the carrier points too. The problem is that if I give points by staying on the carrier, people would abuse the system and just take turns infinitely to level up. You could use 1 game to level up to rank 31 with enough patience

What I was thinking instead is to add/remove points to different teams. Meaning, when your team mate lands on a carrier, it begins adding points to every one on your team and removing from the enemy. And viceversa.
So the enemy has motivation to get you killed and also to capture carrier.

A challenge is a system that encourages winning the game and not just staying on your own carrier - I had thought of points for carrier landing but then teams could stay on their own sides.
