Many other games provide a short period of immunity for spawning into a game. Without it, it only takes few jerks to make the game unplayable.
The brief immunity while on the runway helps but it still give abusive players a lot of time to shoot you down before you are able to defend yourself.
I propose giving all spawns a 5 second immunity.
The only trouble with this would be for bombers coming into South base. This would probably just make bombers alter their approach but it might be better if south base could be shifted 90 degrees similar to North Base.
I don't think it would make much difference when attacking carriers. I think everyone understands that it is foolish to attack head on.
It would eliminate any trouble with tank spawn killers.
It would only make a small difference to zeppelin games.
This would do away with of a lot of the complaints and would disable most of the abusive players.

Make it so everyone but them has immunity. Make them a one hit kill! Strip them down and make them fly naked! What if mods could make them fly nothing but noob planes for a week?
