Does anyone use Steam platform with Xbox game pad. I am having trouble setting up the controls. In Windows the x button controls your 3rd and 1st person views . I cant seem to get this working on steam. I go to control config but it is not clear how to set things up

no idea, i have the wireless controller and i've been told they work differently

Thanks Zup for the reply. I was finally able to figure it out. By opening Steam page, and not starting the game. I went into settings . Then controllers. There I selected Template that was preset for Xbox gamepad

I tried laptop on windows with xbox controller with usb adapter and hdmi to large screen monitor lol it was fun but im not used to thumb joysticks lol i was all over the place. Plus cant reach keyboard to type. Gonna have to practice with it. Mine worked without changing settings guess i lucked out there. So if we r playing and i dont chat its because of my strange setup lol. On tablet now lol

I am using gamepad for last 3 years. Initially it will take time say 3-4 days to adjust then gradually you'll love it. Don't give up hammer tool and sharpshooter and welcome back Hammer Tool..

Lol you feel my pain on the typing aspect. I always feel guilty for not chatting in game but its tough to fly with game pad and type. It is totally a different feel but like blue said keep at it. The benifits with the throttle control are big and once you get the subtle movements down it will pay off. I find when I am under pressure I over compensate still with the controls
