Hola juaquin espero q tu y todos en tu familia esten bien. I have no power and low batt. So will try to go straigth to the point. First hola to all the old players thay clearly arr still interested in the game. Now to the point. Zuperman could you consider make a modification to the ww2 game play and bring back the lazer shooting and keep the bullet drop only on ww1? Is this posible? This will sound to capitalist to some but hey its worth something. Ww2 lacks players if we give the old timers what they want with the lazer bullets we will get more players to go to ww2. The old timers will be interested on coming back to play and to be competitive they will be force to buy or invest on the top planes. This will generate $ and maybe get u some of your core subscribers back. Ww2 planes are faster and their machine guns stronger so maybe the bullets should not drop on that era. Maybe u can make the lazer bullet range shorer to compensate. I do belive you should explore or experiment with this sugestion. Would you consider it? Can it be done? Plese let the players that are interested know.

How about keeping bullet drop , and dropping WWII?

Make the game work right for starters, the lag has become ridiculous.

Then....

Take us to WWI, what this game is about. No stupid carriers. Give us no man's land, machine gun nests, AA fire, and the ability to fight as squadrons....

Get that right, and you will see folks come back to the game....

Really pleased to hear that you are safe and well Ace , was concerned for your safety my friend .
Can't say I entirely agree with your idea , surely if having laser guns in WW2 would be good to encourage "old timers" to play more then it's even more important to have them in WW1 to encourage noobs to stick around to learn to love the game as we did.
This is just my opinion and others will have theirs but does this make my opinion any less valid than theirs.
Hope to see you in the skies again Ace ( not in the next week though as I am off to Spain for a short break).
Keep safe and well , my friend.
May the ancestors look down upon your achievements and smile.

I agree. It seems like there's never more than two people in WWII.

Hola to all! I am happy to be partialy back ; still have no power at home and the panic atacks are back in my life so i will not be flying for the next few days or more. So soorry about the old timers nick was ment as to identifyvthe df original players. My post is only a suggestion looking for a compromise between the 2 bullet angles or aim. Ww2 and ww1 are virtualy the same game so im suggesting to have them side buy side one in each era so we can compare them and or find a happy medium that migth bring the players that left becouse of the bullet drop. In my case i dont care for one or the other ; i play for fun and would enjoy the game with bulletcdrop or not. Would just adjust my playing style and keep on enjoying df. Its just a sggestion to try and find a compromise and give it a test. Noobs can be train without problems they only need the basics. The suggestion is looking to bring back the old players so that they can enjoy the game again. At least on one of tje 2 eras. But my opinion is that the most fun part of tje game is the interaction you are able to have with your friends. And you guys were the ones that made it fun for each other when u play together; and that you can still have rigth now. Your old team mates are still here . Juaquin if this suggestions posible? Could it be tested??

I think the general opinion is to just lose the drop .bring back the old point system .and either lose the trees or give them to all

I have been on DFE since last December. I think the issue with WW2 is the performance curve between the upper end jets and the entry level planes. The WW1 monoplanes suck, for sure, but it SEEMS even a skilled player gets smoked repeatedly with a mid level plane against the top level ones in WW@ more so. Maybe because only the upper level players do WW2??

I suspect the forum activity took a real nose-dive when zup cracked down on the "questionable" material and began censoring the posts. Not that I disagree with what he did, but folks took their posts to other mediums so they could post what they liked without fear of censorship.

There is a wildly popular truck forum I belong to with over 10,000 active members and the most popular threads are in a "flame" area. A place for folks to go and basically have all the internet arguments they like. The rules of the flame area is there are no rules, and if you don't want to be offended you simply don't go there. The line they do draw is with pornographic material, which is a no-no. Posts contain cussing and all kinds of fun off-topic stuff while keeping enough on-topic areas to maintain a very legitimate and informative truck forum.

I would love to see something like that here. It would, in my opinion, bring folks back to the forum who have left or only visit occasionally. When the forum was active, the game was much busier. There is a link between the two whether or not you know it.

Make the forum fun again!

Zup? Is this something you would consider?

**EDIT**

I'll add this to keep my post "on topic":

I hated the bullet drop when it came out. Now I just deal with it. What I noticed is not all players have the same aim point, and I have to get killed and crash a few times until I find the sweet spot for each individual. For example, I have to aim well above Dognammit, but directly at AceGirl. (Never aim directly at AceGirl, she wont be there when your bullets arrive! I just used her as an example) Once I have established that, then it seems more consistent. Inconsistent for all, but consistent for each individual. Frustrating would be my description, but not to the point where I wont play. (patience)

Good idea but we all know that simply just won't work, everyone knew what took place on the [M]isfits thread on Friday's well same could be said for that if you didn't like what you could see at any local beech or on tv don't come to the Misfits thread on a Friday. Simple right? Apparently not! same goes for what you have mentioned Curiosity will bring in people to look and not everyone will agree with what's posted on a thread like you mentioned.
It's just not possible someone will complain just like what happened to our thread, not that Zup had a hand in that more like it was taken on by one. Made an example of the misfits thread and said all threads would be gone over, never saw any of that myself but that's another story.

the bullet drop was ok at first but it has changed i didnt like it either after getting used to a certain way of playing you suddenly have the dreaded drop. when elite came out i tried to play both to be ready for the transition i knew df was gonna go .here in Toronto we have speeds on the internet of 200 mbs download and 20mbs up im sure when i play people in brazil with a highest speed of 5mbs there will be a conflict somewhere . no blame some people get upset when lag is shouted but its a fact of the internet lag is here and will unlikely go

It's that hair, it makes you an obvious target, like the British red coats in the war of independence.
You should go camouflage.

(Psst...Don't tell anyone but Zup heard your plea, the WWIII version is gonna have lasers! )
