Sorry it has come to this. Great players leaving a great game because of the "hate" from others. You were a sane mind in an insane time. As Yemx mentioned, you never know how someone is going to interpret what appears on Forum or chat. It is nearly impossible to interpret tone and feeling in writing texts, emails and chats. I believe that is why we have so much rancor in Forum and WC. Best of luck and please stop by to show us any new kilts you might have purchased! .

Hey mc Fate, i remember, im the first few weeks after starting this game u were always there! While i try targeting it makes dang dang and i have to jump or die. Ok i preferred parachuting. For about a few metres untill i regulary die! Yes clear u was ever good and u are still good, u play fair honorable and u are some of the best! So easy like i obave mentioned you will not bring me down, perhaps u would have now a few mins. Lol!
I wish u all the beat mc Fate hoping that u will visit us one day!

Dang, that was not what I wanted to read... some of my favorite DF memories were the long circus games with you.

Thanks for all of the kind words. I was truly touched by all of your responses. I feel a bit sheepish coming back after such a kind farewell.

I really was fed up and I really thought I was going to close this "book" and walk away. I guess the truth is that I really enjoy Dogfight. I really, like really, Really, REALLY LIKE IT!
I even gave my tab and my old 'coaching' account to a friend for a while but it didn't work. I kept asking him about the game and 'watching over his shoulder' so to speak, then just a quick game now and then, then I realized that I played at least a game or two almost every day this last week. Who am I kidding?

The things that brought me back were:
- The NLR; what it is and what it will become if/when some sort of squad wars becomes a reality.
- Zuperman's efforts and obvoius love for this game. Though I'm not privy to his vision and priorities regarding upgrades, I have faith that he will continue to make improvements that all who stick around will benefit from.
- The good folks who come here and share a touch of their own magic.
- And mostly for that RPG, skill gamer escapist thing that brings that addictive rush and lets the stress of the real world fall away for a time.

I was just about to PM you to ask if you were officially back when I saw your update. Super stoked!

I know the feel bro. Ive tried to leave 3 seperate times. Every time i do, someone pulls me back in. I dont fly anymore, but for some god on earth reason, i cant just walk away. There may be some people i dont like here now and that i know dont like me, but i kinda dont care anymore. But i still wont fly. Tired of being called a hacker. My last flight a month ago, i got called a hacker 4 seperate times and a cheater 3 others. Thats when i gave up flying.

"Don't let anybody rule you" is the answer to your problem. We all know that the program can't be hacked. If you are good fighter then the best way to get you down is to humiliate you so that you yourself step down and you did exactly what they want.

I'll still insist that you start active Flying and keep chat off while you flying. Fly with tag
"tKestrel-Chatt Off" while keeping chat off and enjoy.
