If you were to try it once, you'd be hooked! lot of cool planes these days, some you can fly in your living room. The cost has gone down considerably since I was a kid too... You can get a pretty decent micro for $50-$100.
Where can I get a good quality cheap rc plane to test if I like them? Also the web site when it sells plans does it mean like directions/blue prints or likw a kit?
lets eat grandma. lets eat, grandma. commas save lives

i only had one of these when i was a kid. I still stop by different stores trying to figure out if i would get one, but the problem that i have living in a city is that there is no way to fly them.
As a kid I lived in the country. However it would sometimes get very windy where I lived. Often times my cheaper planes would come barreling down. I swear I went through 5 of those RC foam planes.
I have an r/c helicopter it spins out of control all the time!!! It's an air hog sharpshooter

Take a lighter and CAREFULLY heat them just enough to bend a bit. You might be able to do it without a flame though. Also, check your tail. It might need a bit of bending.
Isn't there a knob on your RC Contoller to compensate for the spinning? All my RC Helicopters had one.

I fly helecopters Trex 450se havent quite mastered 3d,spend more time putting it back together after the inevitable crash.Great fun but expensive hobby. The rotor heads are a work of art precision engineered alloy parts they fascinate me(nerdy lol).Helis are hard to build, very hard to set up adjusting all the pitch and throttle curves for the transmitter and then comes the hard bit flyin the damn thing.i do like the challenge tho.
