Would it be possible to take whichever plane(s) we currently have in our hangars and be able to run them through a paint booth of sorts? Maybe some basic color schemes, single or two-tone color combinations selected from a basic color palette.

Perhaps keep some mandatory markings to identify to which side the aircraft belongs.

Baron Von Richtofen, for example, had his airplanes painted red (first the Albatross DIII and then later the Fokker E.III for which he became most well known).

Z considered this but he said it would cause lag. But it would be cool if we could paint them like the basic parts of the plane wings ruder elevators nose and have a list of symbols you could put on the fuselage. Maby squads could make a quad symbols for the fuselage of there planes and if z approved of them they would show up in the custimtion spot for people in the squad. There could be a set of 3 different camo or designs for the plane and then the pilot could paint the different pets of the plane. they could have blue wings a red body purple nose, tail and ruder. and then blue and red swirly style wheels. They could have the underside the same color as the top side of the plane or they could have all that i said on the top of the plane and on the belly of the plane and under side of the wings it could be wight or balck any color of there choice. Maby z will consider this once technology has gotten advanced enuth that all the new stuff be able to handle it.

Yeah, squad colors is a great idea.

Some standardization for each aircraft should be maintained, however, as it's helpful in-game to see what aircraft you're up against.

But lag is a more important issue.

Yeah, only in squad wars should that be considered. I agree, its useful to know if the pilot im flying against has a better plane. I need to drop my bomb to easlily beat a SE5A in a turning fight, but not so with a fokker.
