I just looked it rankings for the first time and noticed that you get points for bombing hangers. I assume those are advancement points. Do you also get advancement points for bombing the carriers?

Well, there's money, and there's experience, or xp. Xp is your rank, money buys planes. You must reach a certain rank to get access to different planes, but you wont get enough cash for a long time afterward unless you buy it.

you get 50 points for bombing a hangar, and a carrier as well. but i am not sure if there is an extra income of bombing hangars as statistisc are hold for it.

Same thing happens to me. I believe when Zup did the coding, he meant to add a server host. When a new matchvof a game is to start, the first one there us usually the host (like in modern combat 3 kinda, except its when the host quits). The reason I think that, is because every time I am in a room alone, the server just started for that match, I'm able to choose my own plane. Dispite it being locked or I dont have enough coins to buy it. But then I think Zup didn't choose to do that, and he may have redone the coding except that small part.
