Ok on the top dogfight players stats list can anyone guess who number 84,91 and 92 are? It says they are ???, x and ??. But does anyone know our old name? B)

The x guy isn't a regular x, it's a special character u can only make On a computer, but dogfight won't display it. That's alway been his name, and he is pretty good, but he's annoying. The other guys idk.

This is what it looks like to have Brigadier General x on the screen. If you look closely you can just barely see him in the red circle I have drawn below Group Captain Jeramy.

Against the snow background he's close to invisible, and his name doesn't show up in the "Room"-menu either.

The only time you can see the x symbol is when you have a status message on the screen when he's downed someone.

I would have liked there to be rules for names: Only ordinary characters and numbers should be allowed (I believe Koreans use Arabic numerals like we do, and that they have them on their smartphones).

I'd also like there to be a minimum and a maximum number of characters for names (including squadron names):

My suggestion could be a minimum of three or four characters, and a maximum of say eight or ten. There can be no real need for longer names than that, and some maxi names really clutter up the screen.

A rule like that could be enforced automatically for existing users by substituting #-s for "illegal" caracters, by adding #-es to names that were too short, and cutting the last characters in names that were too long.

I played against someone yesterday who had a name consisting of I think at least 15 underscores and some spaces and numbers.

He probably used the underscores to make it more difficult to locate his plane.

His name filled up I think three quarters of the screen and really made it difficult to see where he was, and also to see the other players in the game clearly enough.

There is a maximum. I tried to make my name [e] Calvin the Great, but it was too long, so I had to eliminate the spaces.

I totally agree with the character limits Veider articulates. Too many characters is clutter; too few is unfair.

I agree that there should be a name and character minimum. Like it or not, name length is a factor in the game.
