So my mother in laws girlfriend has this corvette. The sticker on the door says 6/83, but when I went to look up info on Google it says there were no 83's .
So could anyone tell me what the deal is here..is this a 83 or 84. If its a 83 than there were only like 43 production cars made in 83. I also found out that at 6'5" I will never own a corvette. I had to fold myself up to get in lol

1984 was the first year of that body style--the C4. It was manufactured in 1983. They were available in late 83, but were actually 1984 models.
Example,I have a 2009 Dodge Journey--the first year of it...but I had it in 2008.

INTERESTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did not know that at all--better tell her to hang onto that one!
I thought it was just the typical "sell the next model year late the previous year" thing.
THAT is one heck of a find! AND, a Corvette. Hoevere, I still like the C3 the best. Born the same year as me....lol.
Look for the emissions sticker under the hood somewhere. It should be white in color. It will show the engine size designation. Near the bottom of the sticker it will state: THIS VEHICLE CONFORMS TO xxxx MODEL YEAR EMISSION STANDARDS, or something like that

Well BH the reason you can not find info about your 83/84 corvette is because Google was not around then. Why would you ask such a question to something that did not exist then? Jeesh! Ask Prince cause if I remember he new a thing or two about corvettes from that time period.

Very glad this is NOT my car....someone bypassed the relay for the electric radiator fan, so wire's have melted off some insulation. There is a toggle switch under the dash to turn fan on (without a relay ) it leaks oil like my shovel head did. THERE IS NO DAM ROOM TO WORK ON THIS POS. I can't fit my hands anywhere lol
