I was recording that game, so I'm working on a video for the channel. (I'm sure Sarge is happy to hear that). Not sure why but the footage shifts into a couple layers off and on and messes up colors a bit, but the video is otherwise not too bad.

AirShou has its limitations! :(

I saw that and yes I am enthralled to hear that our channel has in fact been active. To put less presure on ourslelve's we are now going to have NO upload schedual.

I've been thinking about this. We really could pick teams of 4 from one squad vs another, flip coin or pick for allied/axis, pick a time and take whatever game(s) come up. What does everybody think? How would it work? What would the rules of combat be?

I think it's a great idea, brother.

We'd have to pick a day/time and find a squad willing to participate. I'm seeing more of our allied squad GI in the air (saw Pink and Eagle this evening). And there are always Misfits who are out & about and fun to fly with too. We'd have to ask if either of them are interested, but it would be fun.

Or we round up wolves and divide teams. Would be great training and fun.

Flip a coin and rules are win the game fair! ;)

Just be wary, if you're down against 2:1 odds, outgunned and outclassed on planes, Dunc will pull a sneak on you if you keep knocking him out of the sky. Ask me how I know.

I've been outgunned by 4:1 (me as the 1), camped on and still say 'gg'. We wolves like a good fight and know we just might win the next game.

Good to see ya, Husky! :)

I was in that one with Husky and Dunc. Immediately before that I was in one with DangerousToy and I vs. 4 and the reds had to use a sneak to win that one as well. When you are as good as Husky and DT, folks will eventually just go around I guess. Heck, just the red approaching from an alternate angle requires someone to go and engage him, opening the front door for the rest of the reds... or blues if you are on the numerically superior side.

Some folks will call that tactics, others call it sneaking. What I can say is regardless of what you call it, when you are on the outnumbered side it really is frustrating. I cannot count the number of times I have yelled at my screen in that same situation. No, really yelled at it. Mrs. Viper thinks I'm crazy.

I recall way back about 100 years ago, before Dunc joined WP. I saw him in many, many games and he would always fly as high as he could to get across the map and get your hangars or carrier. That was his style, and every time I faced him I knew exactly what he was gonna do. ;)

So I think I have sort of a plan on buying planes. Dire, Cypher, Dunc, etc. feel free to weigh in here.

At SOME point, I will conclude my "fly with nooby planes for the experience of it" challenge and buy a new plane on each side.

Allied: SE5A

Central Powers: Fokker DR1

Both will be fully upgraded. The reason for choosing these planes is that I can afford and upgrade both of them most the way with the money I have. Anyone know how much each upgrade is for these planes? Additionally, they both have WAY better speed and handling than my old clunkers and, (pretty much number 1 requirement) they can hold 2 bombs.

After all that fun, I think it would be logical to save up a bit of cash to buy a Hawker Hurricane so I can get in on the World War 2 action. Dunc is probably going to spit out his chew toy and tell me how terrible the Hurricane is compared to the ones he flies, but I guess you have to start somewhere. This gives me the option to dabble a bit in a second game mode, although I'll always be playing WWI as well.

One question about the WW2 planes. The Hurricane is the only plane in its "class" meaning there doesn't seem to be a matching Axis plane. However, I recently noticed some butt-ugly thing on the german side that was after all the good WWI planes and before WW2, but it was this strange old looking plane with an airfoil just above the landing gear. It had way less capabilities than the best WWI planes, and I don't remember the name or cost. I'm starting to think, however, that this plane is somehow the sister to the Hawker Hurricane. Anyone know what's up with it?

I suppose the reason for this post is just to learn a bit about the plane system from people that have flown more planes (clearly) than I have. ^-^ I think (?) my plan kinda makes sense but I know it's good to get all the points of view on things.

Thanks guys! Happy hunting AAAAAWWWWWWOOOOOoooooOOOOOOOoooooOOOOOOooooohhhh

I don't have a Hurricane, but I do have a BF109 which is a very good start if you want to dabble in WW2. Very good head on fighter.

I liked the DV in WWI for a lower tiered aircraft. Quite fast and very maneuverable. The SE5A is also a good choice.

Sounds like a pretty good plan to me.

Husky, what you just described REALLY doesn't sound like me. Yes, I fly high at times, just as Viper said. I don't always know what happens below while I'm doing it, either. But knowingly taking advantage of someone just because I was "knocked out of the sky"? Something's fishy here, and sounds suspiciously like whining to me.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but that doesn't mean the rest of us have to listen to it, comprende? Owwwwoooooohhhhh!

I'll be in The Den later today. Have to comb my wolf hair and head to that job thingy.

Agent, I agree with Viper and BF109 is a good starter plane in WWII. Any upgrades you can get are worth it and you get double points in WWII.

And Dunc better spit out that chew toy---he stole it from me!

I've reached 200k points yay :woohoo:

I'd like to thank my mom, my neighbors, my kindergarten teacher... Oh, whatever

Anyways, Viper, I'm sure you'll be amused if I tell you I've added the Albatross D3 to my copy of Flight Simulator X. It has no brakes and not a single gauge, but it DOES fly at least :)

I also added an Arleigh Burke destroyer (fully usable, don't even ask how) and a drivable pickup truck.

Next I'm adding a concorde, a blimp, and, for no apparent reason (other than to see it fly in a low earth orbit and launch planes out of it somehow), a star destroyer.

Considering that I've learned how to add all these things to FSX, combined with using them on multiplayer servers (oh, what fun it is to start sticking aircraft carriers on taxiways or drive around people in a mad pickup truck rampage), I suppose I'm just excited. Or maybe someone put 5 hour energy in my doggy chow. Who knows...

Can I have the award for "Most Random Forum Post" now?

I really like the Se5a as a choice. Won my first Dogfight in that plane right after I got it, and against 7 other top players at that! I was so pumped!

If that was an award I'll be happy to award you with that lol. I wish I have that many points the most I have gotten ever was like 55K, actually scratch that lol it was 300K than I bought 2 planes and upgraded them completely and than I accidentally bought a paint job for one of them that was 50K and I sunk back down to around 20K lol :cheer:

Hello my beloved Wolf Brothers. I have just started my final term of trade school to acquire my Red Seal journeymans ticket. This will be a intensive 10 week 8hrs a day college course. I have been working towards this for 4 years now.

This said I will have to limit myself to playing and participating my beloved game.
This is a real bummer as the servers have now switched to a style that is very conducive to a Cypher7 WolfPack Tournament/Wolf party. My ideas are just bursting at he seams..

But I must point my brain in the correct direction and get this done. Rest assured when I complete this I will be holding a big tournament for sure. This will be to Celebrate the following

1. To celebrate the success of Wolf Packs transition from Original and Elite.( Each and every one of you pat your self on the back for this)

2. To celebrate all our new recruits that are of such high character and have contributed to the health of this group.

3. Hopefully To celebrate the Packs first Moraf Dunc7:) Get er in high gear Dunc7. We are all behind you brother

4. My 1 year anniversary is just around the corner for being apart of DF :woohoo:

I truly love my Pack and will be sad not to as active as I have been in the past, But it is only for a short period.

Please message me with any concerns or thoughts. Dire Wolf Will be the Air Marshal that will help with any recruiting if I am not able to meet my duties. As well Our squad leaders Viper Dunc and Skeeter are always around to help.

AAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Good luck with school Cypher, I know you'll ace it. Can't wait until you're back in the skies.

I just looked back and realized my 6 month "anniversary" was a couple weeks ago. Hard to believe it's been that long already :cheer:
