Hey guys, I want to throw something out for discussion.. I've been on a couple of times to check our forum, didn't have time to play, but wondered if there were any new posts, and finally it was over a day without any.. Same thing happened last week one day we went a day and a half with out a post.. Ok here's the deal, I know that this is not a major issue, but there sure is a correlation between how active a Sqd is and its fourm... We even drop down on the fourm page itself when we don't post.

I get that it doesn't sound like anything, and in the grand scheme of life DUHHH IT'S NOT!! But in our little on line world if we want to be the best we have to act like we are.. So what I'm thinking if blessed by our skipper is that we all try to swing by once a day and see what's posted, and if there's a lag of .. What .. Say 6 or 10 hrs maybe ..then put in something.. Anything to keep from having the last post "1 day x hrs" .. Actually in the best of worlds we could all post are day's events.. This is a lot simpler than it sounds, I notice Viper will give a short "sit rep" in our chat box.. Something like.. Viper here .. Went to Mess, won a BTB, then to Asia lost a defend the zep..

So what's the Scoop troops, crew, dudes and dudetes ? Skipper? .. and before anybody tells me I'm a geezer with too much time on my hands remember this thought is only to bennifit the Sqd..

Hello Wolves Howoooooooooooooohhhhhdy!!
Just a quick update. It's been a heck of a week for doctor's appointments and follow-ups. I'll start with mine. I hoped to get the all-clear from the vein doc to get back to work this week. No such luck. During the ultrasound of my leg,the technician informed me that I have developed a pretty sinificant leaker on the back of my right leg where the clot was found originally. It seems the clot was big enough to "bust" the vein wide open instead of disolving. So in short,the clot along with oodles of blood has leaked into my leg and is making its way to my feet. Hence the heavy discoloration and fatigue. Makes sense now. In the past,I had laser surgery and injections, similar to the expanding foam you might use to seal off a window, used to carterize or seal off a leaker in both legs. Well,the left leg is still doing ok,but,more intrusive surgery seems inevitable for the right. Yay.
My darlin' went back to her endo doc to try to get some sort of explanation as to the nodules in her lungs. This doc,although very young,is an old soul with old school methods. Next tuesday Teresa will have a Petscan done,which involves drinking a ton af a very sugary dyed substance. Tumors and Cancer LOVES sugar,so if scans following her ingestion come back glowing,we will worry. Otherwise we are looking at an infection in her lungs. Still not great,but much easier to treat. Her scan from this time last year was compared to the last ones and these nodules are new. Her doc explained very positively that if it is anything bad,that she and her staff will be able to handle it in its early stages quite easily. Depending on what they find,a bone marrow sample will clear up any questions. The doc is very methodical and quite pleasant so her demeanor has taken much of Teresas worries and shelved them somewhat. Thank you,God,for blessing us with her skills. I'm in the mid 1400's last I looked,but that's down a full 1000 since I've becone a Wolf. I've had opportunities to fly with some of you recently,and due to battery issues,dropped out of some heated competition. Please forgive my electronic incompetence. I would never just up and leave the pack in times of battle.
PADRE,I too have noticed a drop in postings. I look forward to reading even the simple one liners or seeing simple bean can pics. I posted a followup to Kevin s Beans with my own Wolf Beer to wash it down a week ago, but nobody saw or commented. I know better than anyone that life happens. The new alliance was a buzz for a day or two. Medical appointments and other real life family stuff take priority too. I try to check in at least once a day. Yesterday was a monster busy day and I honestly believe I missed my first day of flying, ever.
I know reading lengthy posts like this one can be too much at times and I apologize. I can get pretty winded sone days. I am part of the Wolf Pack family. A family that I've grown quite fond of. And,like my own son or brother,I care to hear what's happening. I understand and respect privacy concerns. I'm an open book and quite candidly to a fault some days. Rambling is sonething that I do out loud most days. Must be senility setting in,lol. My wife even gives me a hard time about it. But through it all,I love being here with all of my brothers and sistersn sharing banter and caring about each other in a way that is still somewhat of an enigma to me. I love my Wolf Pack family. Keep in touch,my wolven brethren,even just to say "hey,I'm alive and well and I just farted and blamed the dog"

Myrlin, hope everything goes okay and you and the missus feel better real soon my brother. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Me and Mrs. Viper are already praying for you two and Mindy....

I do like checking in on squad chat with a "sitrep" from games, and can do that here as well. Those of you that know the back story I had to open a second windows account when dogfight crashed and burned in my main account. What this means is to play or post I have to log into different accounts making it a chore to go from playing to posting or checking the facebook and vice-versa.

All that being said I had a no-fly day yesterday due to my busy schedule and today looks about the same. I did, however, go 15-0 in a dogfight the other night, which was a first for me. Also I was lucky enough to share the skies with some really talented players. Manic from GI, V Huntress from the misfits I believe, two players I don't see near enough but are a delight to be in games with. Squeak and I were in a pretty good bth game where we eventually won against some pretty tough reds, and Kev and I were in a df mission where a bunch of people (friedchicken and some others) were flying around looking for tunnels, so I left them alone.

I do enjoy my df time, even if it is limited nowadays. Too many hobbies, too much work, not enough "me" time......... and I'm retired. I must be doing it wrong.

I hope some of my wolven brothers join me in lousy aircraft on rookie day!

Well wishes to Myrlin and family.

Too much work lately, life and my other hobbies do limit my Dogfight time. I normally play late at night, as most of you know. I'll play till the game kicks me out or I'm too tired to keep my eyes open.

Where to start, obviously nothing in our lives compares to what Teresa, Mindy, and James are going thru.. The last update was already known but more details which I appreciate. It goes with out saying that you will stay on the "list"'till you guys are out of the woods, another thing that goes with out saying, but mybe should be said is a simple "I'm sorry you guys are dealing with all this".. I'll have to go find that beer can pic now lol..pls let me/us kno when the pet scan is scheduled for..

I keep looking at Nights banner.. Sweet!! I know I've talked about my wolf on top of Mesa tatt, very close to the image on the banner, and as silly as this might sound im thinking of putting wolf pack underneath it.. I know that 67 year old men shouldn't play around with ink any more, but it's half way down my left calf, and room underneath for a freehand tatt that would prolly cost less than 25 bucks.. BOY am I thinking about it..

What a night.. Played till my eyes wore out, ok one game past it, played lousy, but super fun with coop, goose, and lowdan. Won a couple earlier before the eyes went, but never any of the great long games we all love.. And for what ever reason didn't see one other Wolf all night.. I miss howl'n so WWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO.. There i fell better, and can go to sleep with a clear conscious.. HEY guys I appologize for not having my WP on the in game logos.. Never occurred to me till I re..read our Sqd rules earlier.. Obviously that's corrected now..

Hey man, appreciate the offer. I've never made a banner either..lol. No clue how to do it. HB made one for me and Myrlin made the other. I know what you mean apply it to profile--I remember one evening of a good hour or more just trying to upload..lol

Im pretty sure desi offered to make banners for our squad on the last page... I may take her up on that and get something that has both the WP and GI symbolism in it.....

My last banner from Digger was the first one I was able to upload without assistance. LOL

Think you're right--Desi did offer and would be very nice to have both WP and GI on banner!

I just went to their banner shop and made a request...... it was kinda generalized so we will see what they come up with. Oh man, I cant wait!

This weekend is the GUNNERS INC. BATTLE WEEKEND!

You all have an open invitation to come fly with us as often as you can this weekend, the more the merrier!

We have a battle weekend on the first and third weekends of each month. It is a fairly new thing cooked up by a few of our members to get as many of the squads in the skies at the same time. Whether you are flying with or against squad members doesn't matter, we all just want to have fun flying and have a laugh with in-game chat whilst progressing our Dogfight careers!

The next Battle Weekend after this will fall on the 7th of December, when it will be officially renamed as the Gunners Inc. / Wolfpack Battle Weekend. I hope to see you good people in the skies!

By the way, it is official, if any of you good folks would like a banner to use on the forum, head over to the Gunners Inc Banner Shop thread and put in your requests! Just give HB and Desichick an idea of what graphics plus any wording you would like and they will do their best to sort you out! Also, if there are any of you who would like to become designers for the Banner Shop, PM HB and let him know you are willing to give them a hand. Many hands make light work, after all!

Go to the app store and download the 'QUAD' app. Once it is downloaded, open it and 'search quads', using the search terms 'Gunners Inc Squad Quad' and 'Dogfight Pilots Executive Lounge'. Request to join them and you will be chatting with fellow dogfighters from across the globe!
