He said he's gonna hunt duck in November

He's hanging in and fighting his corner ... Yeah let him in, under supervision (even without the phone number :( )

Any way think Sput needs the help, he's so busy making flans and pies in various other squads...ooops

No. Once a quorum at a meeting has been established, the continued presence of a quorum is presumed to exist only until the chair or any other member notices that a quorum is no longer present. If the chair notices the absence of a quorum, he or she should declare this fact, at least before taking any vote or stating the question on any new motion. Any member noticing the apparent absence of a quorum can and should make a Point of Order to that effect whenever another person is not speaking. It is dangerous to allow the transaction of substantive business to continue in the absence of a quorum. Although a Point of Order relating to the absence of a quorum is generally not permitted to affect prior action, if there is clear and convincing proof no quorum was present when business was transacted, the presiding officer can rule that business invalid (subject to appeal). [RONR (11th ed.), pp. 348-49; see also pp. 12-13 of RONRIB.]

Page 14 of RONRIB clearly states in para 3b "WHAT DUCK SAYS GOES"!

Bamapalooza '12: Tex has reasons for voting no. I don't get a "M.O.M Vibe" here. The bar is set fairly high by Conoco, Killerbadger and...that other kid, whatever he's called. If I were emperor I'd give Bama a thumbs down. But that would be Oedius. Nothing at all personal, Bama. I'm sticking with Tex for what it's worth.

Jersey John: why in the bleedin' hell does it always say "Mean Ole Devil" in the middle of every one of your posts?!?! Someone had to ask. It makes me a total nutjob, like as if I lived in Brooklyn er sumpthin'.

I'm doing as Duckster asked and voting for Coop for whosis of the whatsis. It's typical Duckiness to suggest it and I agree with Jon. Survive multiple tours of combat duty then flip your own script and dedicate yourself to pulling people outta burning buildings at the risk of your own life? Yeah, that's gonna get my vote every time. Duck, endless respect for pointing it out.

I'm fine, Dev, I just keep meaning to ask you about the "signature" that interrupts your posts. I get into what you're saying then it's derailed by your name then I have to reboot and figure out where you started what thought and where which other thought left off. We Harlem fascists are funny like that.

Got to fly against Duck last night. He was flying under a different name. Complained the whole time but still had mad skills. Don't know how he does it.

Ran into Kilahboy. Told me to tell you all school is taking most of his time. Respectful kid...good addition to the squad.

Bama - Interesting to see the opinions on this kid. It's like a mini soap opera going on. Just glad I'm not on the board. My advice...hang in there kid. The secret about old guys is that we can be worn down. At some point we'll give in just so we can take a nap in peace.

I do think Paul is like the nicest guy in the DF community. I know Pope is taken within the squad but do we have a saint, yet? Paul has my vote!

Oh, and Wig is at 91.

Huh?

Kopf wanted to know about quorums. The above impenetrable gibberish is from Roberts Rules of Order, Newly Revised, believe it or not.

But If we try to follow those rules, we may never find our way out, and no one else will ever get in the squad! ! :)

Allan and I just invited Shiver to present himself for an IN vote.

For those unfamiliar, Shiver is a 44 1/2 year old up and comer who plays frequently. Shiver's got solid skills and seems like a stand up guy (girl? Idk lol!)

In other words, I fully expect an IN vote.

Don't make me go all "quorum" on your azzes! :)

Now looky there, while I was typing this Shiver went and did exactly what we told him to do. How's that for proper squad-join etiquette?
