I've just deleted a post here by VoiceofReason, that's Mac, acting I guess as VoiceofRick. This has got nasty and dirty.
I have just been told that if Rick is in any way pulling strings behind the scenes in this squad, then the squad, the thread goes, which of course is exactly what they want to happen. Do you like this squad, do you want to keep it? Then you better fight back, no pm's, no emails, just delete the damn things and no posting on their behalf.....or you lose the squad, simple as that.
Time to decide where you stand.

Hi guys, I hope 5hat you gents can move past this, like the forum as a whole its the sum of its parts that makes it what it is, what ever that may be.

I have many dear friends here at the MOM camp and I hope to make more as you make a new go of your squad. Alot of people say MOMs are the funniest most deadly squad in dogfight...... I beg to differ for my own arrogant reasons. I truely hope you guys will be here to attempt to prove me wrong.


Fact is you have so many great people its hard to believe that loosing a couple, would end such a respected name in the game.

And it is just a game as we know. Yiu my fri3nds are my favorite rivalry, I will miss Wig ! Always like the way he would shoot me down with such easy and act like it was a chore. ... good peeps in my book...

Huh? I still play DF regularly and I even joined M.O.MZilla as we rounded everybody up.

Yes Rudolph,a global gaming community, but not to include dogfight or the MOM squad as it is in dogfight, is that global. That's like encompassing every nation on earth except lets say the Lithuanians. Does that sound right.

I love this squad. I'm here to stay. I don't care what we call ourselves. It is the people of the group that make it fun. If we stay MOM, I will live with that and the consequences. You have my guarantee that I will not post anything on behalf of anyone not in this game or on this forum. I will also edit my reply to the voice of reason so that disappears.

Davy says, yes BELL, you are so absolutely correct, we use to have so much fun in game and on the forum, we were the best. I can remember several of the old time MOMs handing me my butt in game when I started, GREAT GREAT PLAYERS that I will sorely miss. The forum was a blast, we made fun of each other, it was great, we even helped each other.

I SINCERLY hope that MUCK can pull this squad back together again, we all stand behind you guys and will help in any way shape or form. GOD bless you guys. Take care

Where there is change, fear follows. Sadly some have forgotten that this is the cyber world and not the real. We experienced similar assaults upon one leaving and still do. I've been called a dictator, Hitler and told I have the ability to influence the minds of grown men and women.

I hope you all see that some are trying to tear this squad apart, be it with false accusations or simple insult. Stand together and just move on, ignore the jabs and continue to have fun. This game is like a good series, it keeps us coming back to see what's next, good or bad and personally the friendships are my bond to the game.

(I wrote something along these lines in the now-defunct thread of yesterday, thought it would still be relevant.)

If people want to keep a df squad going, that's their business and their right. If people want to start a global gaming group, that's their business and their right. And some will want to do both.

As long as there is an argument over who owns the big red playground ball, there will be disagreement between the two groups. Anyone who participates in both will need to be careful about what they say. In a word, ~Awkward~.

It would be less awkward with a logo and name change, but I get it, you don't want to be held hostage and relent. Yet I do believe that the strength of a squad comes solely from the character of the people in it, and they should be able to survive even with a new name, new banner, or deleted thread. But you don't want your first move as a new squad to be a weak one, and you don't believe there's anything legally binding here, so I understand not wanting to relent.

That leaves no other option, and a simple Rule of Peace follows. There can be no puppeting of agendas from one group into another. So those who straddle both groups will need to STFU about the other group, whichever group you are posting in.

I have been here only a short while so I don’t share the personal connections that some of you have within and outside of this squad and this game. I started playing dogfight and enjoyed it. Maybe a little too much. I connected with some experienced flyers that happened to be in the MOM squad. As I recall it was Davy and YEMX that I related to mostly. Eventually, I decided to pursue MOM squad membership and was accepted. Davy is now a Misfit and I don’t see YEMX too much lately but am always happy when I do.

Rick was kind enough to make me some nice banners and I appreciate the time he spent on my behalf. I wish I had his talents. I struggle with stick figures. I would really like to continue to use those banners but after considerable contemplation, I have decided that I will only use them if Rick gives me his blessing irrespective of whether or not I feel he has a legal basis to prohibit my using them.

My skills have improved somewhat which has made the game even more enjoyable for me. I enjoy the interaction with the players of today and have made many friends. It is with them that I have a connection.

I do not like the bitterness. Life is too short.

I do not intend to migrate to another game.

I intend to remain here in Dog Fight

I intent to remain in the MOM squad.

I wish the best to all M.O.M squad members past and present and future.

I gather you have been getting some flack in the past 24 hrs, I can't see the full story as a lot of posts have been deleted, but I got the general message.

I don't know about you, but I thought playing games is meant to be fun. That is the reason I keep coming on here, this is the only game I have been bothered to play in the last 10 months, ever since I found it in the app store.

Yes, the game has its problems and its glitches, but the folks I have met and play with and against make the problems seem miniscule, I put up with them and keep coming back for more.

The point I am trying to get to in a very round-about way is this. The MOM squad was a part of the game a long time before I was, don't stop being MOM. Wig may have been the MORAF of the squad but without the rest of you the squad would have been nothing. Just because he got himself banned, the rest of you are still here, the squad is as much yours as it was his.

Keep fighting the good fight, my friends. The Dogfight community is behind you!
