today we get to recognize one of our up and coming pilots. there is only one decoration a pilot from gunners inc can earn, and when they earn it i feel very good. so it is my pleasure to award the Gunners Inc 10,000 kills medal to Courage on this day, 16th October, 2015. courage has been a solid member of wing 3 since he joined us and has steadily been making a name for himself. today his name will be added to our esteemed 10,000 kills club! congrats to you courage! keep up the good work bud

these weeks really fly by! we have too many headlines today so i will just get right into it. Courage gets 10,000! that's right, our newest medal winner is in wing 3 and we are glad to have him! congrats to courage on 10,000 confirmed enemy deaths!

also from wing 3, Talon127 was promoted to the rank of Air Marshal. congrats and i am sure you will serve us well!

in top 30 news we see Raz climb to the #7 spot and Pinkstar30 stays in the race hopping up to #19! good work you two, and good job to all of our top 30 pilots! Grim Repo has reached world rank 500, so all of our list is now in the top 500 of Dogfight! great job!

OK, so my latest nick name is 'AFullBladder'. the first mission I got into was a ctc with two rookies, one red, one blue.
I brought the red down twice while capturing his carrier. the second time I told him 'you should have gone to the bathroom first'.
he left.

Maybe he left to run to the bathroom.

Hello gunners, wanted to thank Pinkstar30 for promoting me as an air marshall in wing3. That means a lot to me because I felt good at the moment . Also made me feel like a family with all of you! I'll continue to do whatever it takes to make me be a true gunner and fly with you all and have fun as always.

Hey Gunners thought I pop on over to say flown with some unknown Gunners who hardly chat on WC recently but despite them not begin well known like other members who chat alot more but representing your squad to the highest honour in games. Also so you don't get confused My in game name for Halloween is ÐéáÐWølF but always fun to fly with a gunner member.

in other news, it seems our Gunners site is on the chopping block.... time is up and Spruz wants money to re-new... the question of the hour is should our Fearless Leader Horriblebreast continue to bear the financial burden of a site that has not seen very much traffic lately or should he cut his losses and let it slip quietly away in the night??.... HB and Armament did spend a lot of time and effort (and $$) to get it all this far along and they both went above and beyond to make a great place to visit... If there is any interest or opinion one way or the other please let HB know.... ASAP....

Not much happens there, thus why I rarely go there anymore.

Let it slip away. No need to spend good money on something we can do here.

not every idea works but it is important to try new things and maintain a good experience for all of our people.

the problems of leadership come when you agree with both sides but must come to a decision...

on the one hand, a website with chatroom is exactly what i would like to stay in contact with people from all wings. a place to go and be a gunner around other gunners. sounds pretty good to me.

on the other hand, we are a pretty casual squad and do we really "need" something as formal as a full on website? many g.i's use the dogfight forum and that works for us pretty well.


the one thing that hasnt really entered my consideration is $$$. i have a job, it's all good. i just need to figure out if the investment will be worthwhile or if i am sending resources to a dead leg. it is also important for me to remain mindful of the effort and time that others have put into that site...oh golly, what a pickle eh?

i'd like to thank big nebs for bringing this up, it's good to talk about squad stuff on our squad thread. if you are a g.i then i am interested in what you have to say positive or negative.

Hey gunners, nice addition to the 10k club courage, congrats! Hate to tell ya hb but soon you'll have to redo the 30k . Ok on more serious note, hb asked me to post up my opinion on the gi website. .. here goes
Arma and hb worked really hard to get the website up and running, it's a great addition for gi's, but I'm sorry to say I think that's mainly what it is.. an addition. I weigh more heavily towards cutting it loose and here's why..there are many gi pilots who play and are active on forum, therefore may not feel the need to go to the website. There may also be pilots who don't have wifi and use data from their carriers or who only have a limited time.. so they ask themselves hmm go to website where I may see a few GI's there, or go to df where lots and lots of gi's are and chat and fly, or maybe their not very chatty at all. Also, we all come together on the forum... so I'm sure there are some that figures what's the reason to go.. so mainly, I guess my opinion is to just cut it loose. Thank you all for ur time

This is a question that has to be addressed and I am sure a lot of our squad will have varying opinions on the subject. HB, Pink and I would like to hear your honest opinions on this matter, simply because the site belongs to ALL of us, so we should all have a say on the future of it. Feel free to post your opinions, good or bad on this thread. Even if you aren't decided, we would like to hear your thoughts on the subject.


Personally, I think although a lot of time and effort has gone into the site from many of our members, it is time to close the door on it and bring our attention back to the forum. Yes, there are a lot of excellent features that are available to use on the site that the forum doesn't have and it will be a shame to let them go, but as Pink said, it means you have to decide where to spend your time and data allowance.

Another valid reason for closing the website is Gunners Inc has a great reputation in the game, but the existence of a private site for our members only could cause concern for other players. We have no secrets, we don't disrespect other squads or players, so why have a private website that the conspiracy theorists can be paranoid about?



Please post your thoughts, the future of the site is in your hands. You have a voice, let it be heard!

I am not happy to say this , but actually we have already made the decision by not using the website as much. Its only a matter of putting it in words.
Personally I think that how to fly GI and chat were good features, but only if people used them frequently; and hardly anyone did.
As I told HB, if the need of a website is felt in the future, then my services are available with enthusiasm and without grudge.

Sad to say we have voted with our clicks...

Our not visiting the sight has doomed it to relegation...
