Great Game this afternoon,bit laggy but fine !

i got a bit of fame over the summer. the local paper covered our last art event so i made it on the front page! under the fold, but still there! my cat thought it was pretty cool too

This is excerpt from "The President's Corner", which I hope you will all visit! I call on my cousins from GI to consider this issue carefully, because you are one of the 2 finest squadrons around with, from what I can see, the highest standards of behavior (certainly, I sure like you guys a lot).

"The world of Dogfight is like the Old West in the US. Everyone's toting guns and usually aren't afraid to use them! In fact, the best are gunslingers and they rule the roost. MORAFs fall into this category. Personally, I think being a MORAF carries with it the responsibility to enforce the rules as well as to set the highest example, like unto being a member of King Arthur's knights of the Round Table. Chivalry and strict adherence to a code of ethics are required. However, I will admit that there are some MORAFS who obviously don't agree with me, and they can be counted among the worst offenders. Their example is copied by the noobs very quickly, and it takes a concerted effort on everyone's part to change their behavior. The bad ones usually go away if enough people despise them.

Just recently, an Aspirant named Escaramango ruined several games I was in by team-killing, bombing his own hangars, flying without bombs to other base to camp and spawn-kill. Didn't listen to reason or threats of reprisal. Only thing that got through was when I had finally had enough and killed him. A couple others did the same, and he eventually left, only to show up in another game and repeat the same cycle of behavior all over again. This morning, who shows up in a good game but good old Escaramango! I immediately warned everybody what he was, but they didn't believe me, even after he bombed his own hangar. SwopCaml, in particular, insisted that it was just a mistake. Of course, it wasn't, and Escaramango proved me right once again.

The point here is that we do need a better way to effectively police this behavior with more than words. What do YOU say on this particular subject? Do you think empowering certain members of our MORAF Club would be a good thing? I do, after Escaramango and all the others like him I've seen before."

Why shouldn't a member of your squadron be in this select group? Please talk about it, and drop by The President's Corner to let me know what you think as well as who you would select to be part of this Special Ops task force? The way I see it, Gunners and Wolves are the leading edge around these skies, so your suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yep that guy was crazy. I ended up just putting on my brakes and letting the reds take out the last hanger. (why is Talon always red against me?)

In other news, good game tonight, but had to leave as my poor eyelids were drooping and telling me to GO TO BED!

hello once again gunners! back again for another Big 30 and we have a whopper this week! i have been saying for weeks that we have many close races. as a result we see a couple huge jumps. Jasta1 and Talon127 get their names in lights this week. both jump up 3 ranks! jasta goes up to #9 and joins the light blue team, and talon hops up to the 17 spot! good going boys, keep it up!

we had a top 30 ranked pilot leave us this past week so anyone under #22 on the list sees a bump up and we see the return of Aviv in the #30 spot. i like seeing all the movement for sure.

i'd also like to send a big thanks and congrats to all the BIG 30 of Gunners Inc! you've all set a good example for our pilots to follow.

Eagle, hello bud and was reading your memo saying that why I am always red. It's the random thing. Sometimes I'm using American planes and other times I'm using German planes. You are correct about me being red mostly when I'm against you. Wish you were on my team most of the time rather than against.

I would prefer you being blue, but always a good game when you're in it.

So I'm reading back over your thread and I see a HUGE faux-pas.... I typed "Red is best though" when I meant "Blue is best though". I am chalking it up to being old and working waaaaaaay too much.

All you guys and gals in GI I would much rather see in BLUE hands down any day than red. Sorry for the mixup!

Had a LONG game today in a noob plane (German basic). Definitely not as easy as the other planes, but I was able to get the carrier five times with the tank.

When Zup had released the update in which planes were bigger and it took 2 hits to bring one down and bullets passing between wings DID register as hits, the German basic plane was the safest thing to fly in.
Flying in the basic planes once in a while helps me appreciate my existing top planes.

I noticed that Mr. Courage is a part of the 10,000 kill club now. Grats courage and heck of a job..
