Rodama usually kills head on - and spot on. he probably gets the message 'you hit ...' or 'you hit ...'s wing' a dozen times for each kill. when I was new, every time I got hit, I would get the message "you were hit by ...". after two such messages, I would go down and I know from experience that any two kinds of hits in any order brought a plane down earlier. that is not the case anymore. we have to make more hits. the question is how many and why are some tanks harder to kill than others?

guys I just played my first game with the new update. the team chat feature is quite nifty. when your (or others') posts appear with ** before them, they are world chat. when you switch to team chat, they turn into normal chat appearances. example:
team chat:
[G.I..]Armament: hi

world chat:
**[G.I..]Armament: hi

its a great addition to the game. I think now most people will only have team chats. If so, I feel it will also take something away from the game.

IMHO the best and easiest controller would be the logitec 710 gamepad, then the xbox 360 controller....

the xbox is guaranteed plug n play and the logitec works on most pcs....

I heard the microsoft sidewinder joystick works but think they are out of production....

I just started with a 710 today and it is pretty nice.... I'm still all over the place though....

I'm only slightly more computer literate than a bag of popcorn but am willing to help however I can and 'The Blue Fighter' is a great help if something doesn't cooperate like it's supposed to....

3) Plane hits: I saw someplace where Zup posted about you needing 6 points, wings = 1, body 2, engine 3 or something like that. So yes, it takes more to take down a plane now, not just the two shots. Also seems like it takes more to take out the tanks too.

4) Had a good fight tonight, but a LONG game. First we were getting out butts kicked, but eventually turned around and did a great job and won. I had a 54:46 game, which I was going to leave once I hit 50 kills, but decided to stick around for the win. Would have taken a photo, but just now googled how to take a screenshot with my phone. LOL

What you say this armament,

yes, this is what I am talking about and the reason for this is the upgraded physics in the game. the closer you hit to the core of the plane (engine or pilot) the fewer hits you need. the farther towards the extremities, say, the edge of the wing or the tail the more hits you need. same goes for tanks.

GOD!!!! I hate it, loathe it when I am this close to bombing a base/carrier and some idiot destroys a non threat tank. I just boil up when they do it even after warning them not to do so. its mostly the new guys, but even some experienced guys kill such tanks just to gain one measly kill!

Edit: it should be legal to team kill such morons! or at least they should get some kind of penalty for disobeying a direct command from a senior officer!

Just letting off steam guys and gals. I have just quit a game where a moron shot an irrelevant tank because of which I was killed almost above the target hangar. BUT I MEAN EVERY WORD OF IT.

Armament,

I've been there many times. I'm about to bomb then see the message that a guy in a non-threatening tank was just killed, even though I said to leave the tanks alone, only to then get shot down.

Do these people not realize that the mission is to bomb the hangers?

Then you get the ones that take off, drop bomb(s), fly to the red's base camp and spawn kill. ugghhh

On a lighter note, this weekend is BATTLE WEEKEND! Hope to see you good folks in the skies!

I restarted university this monday and a lot of work is coming ahead, just for the next week I have 4 things to do (in just one assignature) so I'll be leaving the skies for a while, it's hard for me, specially when Zup just updated the game and the new mission arrival... makes me a bit sad but I have things to do...

There will be some weekends where I'll try and join a single game, but for now, this is a short-farewell...
