THANKS FOR REPLY BLUE FIGHTER. (sorry for caps). I cannot tell version since it locks on opening. I have a thought though I will try first. Avg free probably blocking it. I have to allow after every update and forgot this time.

Both of my devices updated.... The w8.1 tablet by Acer runs fine but my PC desktop by Cybertron w/ 64bit w8.1 gets the same black 'loading' screen.... back to the tab for now...

Same here. I uninstalled, went back to the store and installed from there. Reboot - works. Big problem though my performance tanked!! I can no longer keep up in a loop and my roll rate stinks.

How to uninstall Dogfight or any other store application from windows 8.1

On windows 8.1 Start screen, type PowerShell and then click Windows PowerShell.

1. Get-appxpackage –Name *part of package name*
e.g. > Get-appxpackage –Name *dog*
2 remove-appxpackage FEF09289.Dogfight_1.1.0.80_x86__djayc63bxkq60 –confirm
Remove for all users account to completely remove the package

It will take 1-2 minutes before a message appear that the program has been removed. Then go to windows store and install the fresh copy.
