Hi Zuperman,
This is regarding Update Rollout. You do the best possible tests before rolling out the new update to check the bugs. Don't you think it's better idea to select a group of sincere players (each one having different device to play) whom you can send the update first and they let you know the problems faced by them. This will help you in multiple ways:

1---testing on selected group help in avoiding crashing of game in mass like the present update which make most of the iPhone users struck for one reason or the other.
2---You will get the status on multiple devices in one go and that too from different corners of the world.
3---Only fine tunned update will reach to the store for mass update.

What we need is the list of sincere players with their device name and email address (to send the beta update) or place from where they can download the update to test.

Those who are ready to volunteer may give their pilot name along with device name, operating version, model number of device so that if zuperman think it fine may select the pilot and make a group who will update him about the bugs within the stimulated time.

I volunteer myself for PC update running on windows 8.1, 64 bit system with 8gb RAM.

Thanks

If it is possible to do, then I am more than happy to help. An educated guess leads me to the conclusion that this would be a very problematic endeavour for Zup to do, but it may be handy for Zup to be able to test an update with other players on the updated devices in real-time. It would have to run separately from the regular Dogfight app in order to prevent conflicts in the software, but it would give Zup a chance to see if any major problems occur.

I am also on Windows 8.1 laptop.

In the past there has been beta testing of releases by Android users. I'm not sure that the istore would work since it takes so long for releases to actually get through, on droid Zup can get a release to use quickly since we have an option is install packages form any source.

This is not as simple as it sounds on apple devices. Apple requires to register every single device you use for testing with them, register your email and apple account with them and give me access to send you the updates.

Also it has to be enough variety of devices: all with an iPhone 5 doesn't help. We need ipod 2nd, 3, and 4 generation, ipad 2, 3, 4, iPhone 4, 5, 6 and so on.

I test always myself on ipad 2, iPhone 3gs, 5s and 6 for apple. On pc I have 3 windows 8.1 pc to test, 7 different android devices and one android x86 intel chip tablet. I have the first 2 kindle devices. On windows phone I have a Lumia 520 and a 920. Every single device is different and I have to go through all of them on every update. And even then, updates go out with errors. It's just life.

Apple is specially painful to test for all the requirements to register the devices. Android is a piece of cake to send updates but each device is a complete different beast. And Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone are the easiest because they are pretty standard across all systems.
