It makes it much easier to turn, and you'll get the hang of aiming pretty quickly. (Of course, that won't help if you're already using full sensitivity)
As for getting a fancy gaming computer... Don't, if this is the only game you'd be playing. A fairly cheap ($500?) laptop could easily run DF on full settings.
Oh, and for the 360 controller... Is it an Android tablet, or Windows? I can help with a Droid.
Thanks for the input!! This most likely won't be the only game.... never should have bought this tablet but then I never would have found DF at all.... it is an ACER tablet with Win 8.1, a knock off of the Surface Pro.... I DO NOT recommend it for anything as it has firmware issues and I am constantly losing communication with the keyboard.... even after all the updates....
and it is really clunky to try to fly with the keyboard attached.... the keyboard has fallen off in the heat of battle and I have to scramble to reattach it during a re-spawn....
I am amazed at how others can fly and type at the same time and I could never begin to fly with just the keyboard....
Yeah, the more I think about it the more a new computer sounds like the way to go.... probably not a gaming machine but something better than this junk....
Watch out DogFighters!! If I get a decent monitor I may actually be able to see the REDS and with a controller may actually be able to line up a shot in a reasonable amount of time.... HEY!!
