My PC of 8 years has finally died. I bought a new one and it is running windows 8.1, so I thought I'd try out the game on my new PC. When I first spawned in, the plane was spinning on the runway. I could not get control of the plane by using the keyboard. I would just crash. I then thought that a joystick might help, but the same issue, even after calibrating the joystick several times. I was able to get in the air with the joystick, but its to difficult to fly or shoot with any kind of real control because I must constantly account for the spinning and diving.. Can anyone help me get this sorted out??

Wow --J-- it sounds almost like one of your arrow keys is stuck or something.. that's all I can think of.
