So today I was having trouble getting into games, seems it would load to the point where the countdown starts the it would just stall at a black screen, I removed the app in hopes of loading it back onto my
laptop, I go to the windows store, get to the dogfight page which says I own the app and can install it, I click install and get "THIS ITEM IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Sorry, this item has been removed or is no longer available for purchase on Windows Store.

So.... that leads me to how do I get this game back??

maybe it's update related..I can only hope they hurry up... either I play dogfight, or I do housework..

Having the same problem. Even tried a system restore. brought the app back up, but now says 'cannot launch app'

it once took a couple hours for it to reappear in the windows store thankfully someone else before me had the issue and they said give it time and it will work and it did

Okies, possible solution to the problem. Used a system restore point from yesterday, this re-installed the app. Then go to windows store, it should say in the upper right that you have updates pending. Installed the update for DF and now seems to be working ok. Not tried entering a server yet, fingers crossed it will work lol

well I just uninstalled to reinstall to check if the update was out and this happened ?

I was off DF for over a month because of my windows 8 system. I had to search for all kinds of solutions, which included removing and creating files. Every time there is an update, I hold my breath. Last few months have been good so far.

I did a system restore to get the app back, but now when I try to log in, i'm back to failing at the main
dogfight blue background screen...

The game is missing from Windows phone store too.... Lets hope that they did it for the new update *sigh*

So I waited a few days after the new update came out to see if anyone had any issues, did not hear anything so went for it and….yes I have problems now. App or game starts I can see and use the chats and I can see the planes and new colors skim, but when I tried to join a game does the loading count down and there it stops. I can only see the word loading and a black screen; left it for a few minutes and nothing. Last update I had issues with the game and did updates to laptop and that help, but this time around it is not working. Did all new updates to win and nothing. I am on a lap top and running win 8.1; I was wondering if I uninstall the game and try to install it back, will I lose all my game progress?? But now I see that you guys write that the app has been pull out of the store. Is this because they found out it had problems? Are they fixing it? Any info on this issue by any of the mods or administrators of the forum?? Do you recommend that we do not uninstall the app?? If you have any answers we would all appreciate it, thank you.

A few minutes ago went to the Win Store and saw there was another new update for the game, so did the download and……. I DID NOT WORK; still having the same problem. Stops when logging in to a game on the countdown login. Hope they keep trying to fix it.

I've just posted about this on the announcement section but basically you should move the game, then restart the computer and install the game again from apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/app/dog...a4-885a-d5ae4d00e1e5

hmmm well i just tried to update, and am now getting the message from the windows store that dogfight is unavailable. i will try again later.

i waited about 8 hours and tried again, it worked! i now have 4.4.53 and so far have not had any problems. thanks for the update zuperman.

It worked for me around 6:00am plus I got the latest update..

Happy that you finally got it to work, but could you please help me clarify some questions. Did you have to uninstall the game all together and then reinstall like Zuperman suggested? Or was it just the update? If you did uninstall and reinstall did you have to link to Facebook; so you did not lose your account info? Because in my case I log in to the game without having to write any password or account name, lap top does it automatic, is that how it works on your computer? Thank you for any info or input you can give me.

I just uninstall then reinstall the game to get the updates and I don't sign in with facebook I use a email

But when you sing in do you actually have to write your e mail to sing in? Always? Because as I remember I only did it one time when game was new and then it logs in without me having to write e mail, logs in automatic.

yes I have to enter my email and a password but that's only when you reinstall.. other than that any other time you want to enter the app you wont have to sign in

Got the new updates..really interesting paint jobs..! Did my first paint change on my D5..time to show off!!! Lol

I am BACK!!!! Finally got the game to work again.
As Zuperman said I uninstall the app, turn computer off, then back on again, went to the Win Store and look for the app, said I had it but also had the green tab that said download, so I started the download and install it. Started with the plane movies and then ask me if I wanted to log in with my e mail account or face book account, I went for e mail; that was a challenge tried like 7 to 8 combination passwords but finally got it. Had a big scare because the game started me with the lowest level plane and I had no rank, so I thought I lost all progress, but when I join a game I said I was at level 27, when I came out of game I had all my info back and all planes back, nothing was lost. So that was the play by play of how I got it to work; I first did all lap top updates and an advance system care scan. Then went for the Zuperman instructions. So goooooood luck to the ones still having probs, hope you can solve them soooooon. And many thanks to Zuperman and everyone that try to help.
