I can't seem to purchase a rifle or upgrades for my tank despite having plenty of money. Does anyone know how to rectify this?

Ok here's what I did. I left the game. Held down the home button til all my open aps showed up. Cleared them out. Then went back into game and bought what I needed. Very simple! But it worked.
