Hello, just wondering if any other android users are experiencing there game closing constantly during gameplay since new update yest?? Did the standard uninstall reinstall, cleared catch, nothing helps! Game hasn't crashed during gameplay for me in months, just since latest update: using Motorola droid RAZR M

Welcome to the quit bug, everyone! Sorry it's happening. Up until recently, it was an issue limited to just a few devices. Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, and some others.

Just something to try: Especially on my S3, which had it really bad, I found that Advanced Task Manager (for Android; maybe something similar for Apple) could be used to Close open apps. For me, it definitely correlated to having memory eaten up. AdvTaskManager also has a setting for Regular Kill, and I have mine set to kill programs every 60 seconds (that's the highest frequency). I also told it to show a screen footer every time it kills, so I can see that it's working while I play Dogfight (says something like Apps Killed, memory left ____).

I use this all the time on my S3, but haven't had to use it much recently on my S4. I don't know if this is the same problem, and actually I don't think Z knew much about what was happening before because it's third party software over which he has no control. But I hope it might help.

It has only happened a few times in game, usually right at start of game. Mostly happens before jumping in, or as I pick my plane.

Advanced task killer actually takes up more memory,, try 1tap ram cleaner, works better. But the issue lies some where else, as in could play 100s of games past 2 months not 1 in game random closing, its something new just since update 3days ago, for myself,, as nothing has changed on my end!! device/service/location/apps,,, all the same as previous months with no problems.

My point is that it's not necessarily the DF update, although the timing does seem right on for android. But why would apple users suddenly see it too? Their update doesn't arrive in the store for weeks. That's what makes me think of that third party software that Zup mentioned was causing Quits on Samsung Galaxies and others last year.

Anyway, 100% speculation, just trying to point people ti possible mitigations. I may try 1tap, thanks.

Mine has been doing it since the last update was forced. I just didn't say anything because I'm sick of having to come here and complain about the game not working. Pick a plane or server and your out. Apple devices you can close all other apps manually. I only run the one I'm using. I close all others. Saves battery life and that way nothing else is interfering with the game. It is the update. I'm on the verge of a total uninstall. Gets worse with every update. Surfing the forum is getting old. I have not played a game in 3 weeks.

Ipad 4, IOS 7, blah, blah same ol, same ol.

I agree with max, game was running perfect all day, did new update, reentered game and boom, problem, weird part is the u.s servers drop me 1-3min into gameplay,and the Asian server,let's me go 5-10min sometimes,, odd cus I'm in the u.s. also when I had this prob in Oct, it was fixed instantly with an update... thanks for trying Manfred

I use an iPhone 4, dogfight crashes frequently on it after its done loading

I'd also like to report issues had to use my nexus 7 my family PC took a dive so I'm using the nexus 7 and it was OK in practice but when I went multiplayer it plays for a bit but then out of nowhere it just crashes and returns to home screen it a nexus 7 2013 32 GB rooted stock kit Kat.
Not much else done to it if anyone has suggestions how to tune please advise thanks I know your all trying also sometimes my planes are there and sometimes they are not same with my points I also emailed a special email to the main address id like to get some more points just not sure if this is the right investment.
Thanks again just looking for help and wish I could reporting is the only way I know.

There's a newer droid 4.44.45 update that just was put out hour ago,, did not fix the crashing prob for me, but give it a try

Ya mine was running great last week also, gonna start waiting for a while to see if anything pops up, before I update next time its working well,lol try Artois seems to run a few before crashing, even though I'm in the states...

i rolled back the update, so if you get the latest version it shoud be fixed

Zup, if we didn't get the last update is there any advantage to updating now with the rolled back version? Or should we just keep on as we are now?

no advantage, there was no meaningful change from 4.4.44 to 4.4.45, it was mostly a compilation with the last unity3d system we use for developing the games because they promised a speed improvement

Yours is dated if it was last night. New android one today rolls it back.

How about apple users, are you guys still quit-bugging?

apple quits on older devices because they can't handle it: ipad 1, iphone 3gs and so on
i'm trying to make it take less memory but apple keeps consuming more memory (i think they want people to upgrade their devices)

I'm not on apple but I've seen reports on quit-bug from apple users that I know are using iPad 4, so it can't only be the old ones that are affected.

I hope that you can find a solution quickly because I miss them in the air.

i have an ipad 4 and it has never crashed with the game
they have to be specific about what crashes on those, because that's my usual testing ipad

I'm on 4.4.45 it was crashing a lot last night so i took some advice and did some house cleaning on my nexus 7 2013 32gb also changed to ART file setup and it hasn't crashed today as yet. I also purchased 1000000 points today so had some questions. 1. Should I install the update sitting in the play store waiting or wait for a bit to see if others are ok. 2. Which would give me better game play, my nexus 7, iPad mini 1rst edition or the Asus T100. Also noticed I'm on a lite version is that correct am I playing a paid version now. Little help here great game your all doing a great job really apologize if I posted in it incorrectly. Thanks

He can explain what isn't working and how the iPad 4 is crashing.

I know that both BlüeMäx and ParrotHead isn't playing since the forced update on apple devices, and that makes me sad.

Hi update to my last post nexus 7 2013 32gb just crashed after what seemed like 1/2 hour so I'm going to hit the play store and do the update my last post believe went to the wrong place hope Zup finds it I'm trying to help where I can I really like to see this game succeed, again great job all

Bluemax has an iPad 1 not 4. Same for parrothead

My ipad is a model MD510LL/A. Pretty sure Parrots is the same. IPad 4.

And it just crashes out of the blue or upon loading?
