Look at that picture real closely. Anyone remember that? The stuff of nightmares. Bases ravaged by tanks running rampant. *Shudder* :sick: :S

I shot that guy just outside my friendly base. Regardless of whether or not there's currently an effort to give immunity off the runway, there's no reason for that plane to have been immune.

Anyone else seen this since it was fixed last?

Calvin, you hit Hof after Marko took him down. It's not unusual to get a lag kill. The most common is when you destroy a tank and continue firing. Briefly between the time the tank is burning and the tanker is respawning, he's in 2 places at once. The tank and his new plane. The hits in the tank catch up to him and WHAM! Lag kill. Sometimes, the shots hit during the brief immunity on the runway and you get that message. I assume the same thing happened when you hit his (already) burning plane.

I've seen it when killing tanks and chutes, but not a dead plane.
Fuck this place. Second rate hack playing in a yard that's too big for him.

Really? Okay, that's comforting. Usually it just displays the usual "You have hit ParrotHead's wing", regardless of whether or not he's dead.

FYI Zup notes say that he added a fix in this last release to solve the SpawnDeath-by-lag-hits issue, when bullet hits from the prior encounter lag and keep racking up even once you are respawned. From my observations, you still get the tink-tink at spawnpoint from the lag, and the plane starts smoking, but then it stops smoking and you take off. So I'm guessing that Zup has now forced a reset of the local device's hit counter to zero a few seconds after spawning, and maybe created a temporary immunity before that reset happens.

Anyway, this might be related to what you saw Cal.

Okay, I guess it could be related to that. (Too bad, I always enjoyed getting two kills in one! :P)

Although, even if there is a temporary immunity, this guy was way out near my base, which would have taken him a while to reach.

I guess as long as it doesn't become a problem again, a little bit of green text doesn't matter.
