I was using Windows 8 PC on Dogfight after the new update that came out today (8/20/2013)
WoW!! Huge Improvement... Controls are now almost the same sensitivity as my Android HTC One and I Don't see anymore Windows 8 issues like the lagging 2 mins behind everyone and waitng for it to catch up. and I don't see everyone disappearing or I'am disappearing to everyone else. Hopefully this is the end of Phantoms...
It looks like it's running the same speed and timing as the rest of the players.

If your reading this and your running Windows 8 go to the Windows store and do your update or Restart your system and it should do the update. I'am running a PC so I had to restart my computer to get the update.

Hopefully there will be no more Phantoms in a few days once all Windows 8 players should be updated.

Hey what kind of joystick are you using on your PC? Which do you prefer, joystick on W8, or motion control on your android?

I don't use a joystick on my PC I might upgrade to one latter but I like the response on my arrow keys on my keyboard for now.
When I am my Android I use the Joystick on the touch screen

Lad t hear you are no longer a phantom...now if you start sniping me from duckwing to the base, my original remark on windows regarding unfair advantage by use of big screen high resolution monitors and joystick will hold true, and windows users may be delegated to their own servers. This ought to be interesting..

I am not using a big screen TV or joystick just a simple but new Laptop with Windows 8, But thanks for the suggestion as my laptop plugs right in to the HDMI port that might be fun on a 50 inch TV

I bought Windows 8 justo to play this game. Seriously. I use Windows 7 for all my tasks, and Windows 8 is meant JUST AND ONLY for Dogfight. But after my first experience with the keyboard, it became a real NO.
So, I asked Zuperman, by e-mail, about joystick support.
I bought a Saitek Cyborg V1 just to play DF under Windows 8, but no success. So, the Joystick went to the closet, and Windows 8 is geting rusted on my hard-drive, waiting for a better update.
I will give it a try, but if no Saitek Joystick support is yet implemented, it will go back to the closet, cuz I simply don't believe keyboard can be of any use on chasings.

The Saitek Cyborg site says the it can be used with Windows 8 . Let me know if it does work I would love one of those controllers . But I have to find someone to ship it out of UK for me, the main company won't ship outside the UK .

Something to consider is most Windows 8 are running as a 64 bit system, I don't know if that makes a difference for you .
The older computer keyboards don't have the response I have on my new Toshiba laptop mine is pretty sensitive even though I still want a good joystick to pair up with it.

I've just got news from Microsoft that the new update should be out in or before Monday.
I used all kind of joysticks and gamepads to test it and it works well, but I can't promise anything since I never know until it is out there.

This is the joystick I've used for my personal tests. And the other is a regular Xbox 360 wireless controller.
