Hi all,
It just showed a new update for iOS available.
My installed version crashes some times when I use tank or when I chat. So I updated to 4.4.23. also when it say the only new in this version is the Info about the kickstarter project. So it actually was more than nonsense to update it because I already made my pledge.

Now the games crashes after 10-20 seconds if I really are able to see the in game screen. I've already reinstalled, uninstalled, reinstalled the game. I deleted all files and then I reinstalled, uninstalled, reinstalled the game again.
I rate it several times with 5 stars and I even told him I wanna marry it.
BUT IT STILL DOES THE SAME! IT CRASHES!

So my question: Can I add a $25 Pledge to get my old version back?

Right now I just jailbreaked this stupid iPad so it will never happen again.
If someone owns a older iOS version of Dogfight....please message me.

Yes it was newest version.... now it's newest jailbreak

I have option to update on iPhone 4. Should I? After hearing what miss said i don't know if i want to. My phone didnt break out of jail or anything so would it be affected?

Played two games so far with newest update. I also play on apple ipad latest and greatest. Game crashed one out of two games. I will post again if I have more. Just blinked off at a respawn. Poof. Hope its not a regular thing. It will take the fun out of this till it is fixed. If it is regular it will surely halt my playing.

Edit: Played one more. Crashed. This is no fun. Please fix. Love the game. hate the update. It was fine before.

Edit #2: 3 of 4 games crashed.

All crashes were Bomb the Carrier. The one i finished was a bomb the base.

Dixie don't do it.
I think it is just a iPad4-problem but also on iPhone I wouldn't install the update.
Because YOU DON'T NEED THIS UPDATE! You will miss nothing without this update. Believe me.
Nobody here in this forum need it. Zuperman only put the kickstarter Info in this version and we all know about Dogfight Elite. I'm sure he released both versions together already 3-4 days ago when I got the Android update. On iOS it takes more longer until Apple gives access to download.
I understand that Zuperman released this version as fast as possible because of the infos about kickstarter. Maybe this also was the reason why he didn't seen that there is including a bug.

I'm sure a new fixed update will coming soon and maybe it also will fix the Fokker Dr1 bug.
Then it is worth the download for everyone here. So just trust me, Dixie! Ignore this one and wait for the next one.

And btw: A jailbreak does no matter. It's just a unlocked version of iOS what allows things which Apple would never allow. Such criminal thing like backups of your apps. It's the same like a rooted Android or a patched PSP. But shhhh or they will hang me

But thanks for your crash-report. I'm sure it will help to fix it.
For me is the game not playable on iPad4. Mostly it crashes after a half second. No Matter which mission.
Some times I can start it but it runs not longer than a half minute.

I already changed game settings: reduced graphic, disabled audio and changed controls.
Also on the iPad OS I've tried different settings without results.

Now I noticed I seems it only crashes when I use the touch-screen and only as long I'm online!
When I cut my connection after I start a mission, then I can fly, shoot and bomb as long I want without a crash.
It just displays the connection lost popup. Hard to understand

Yes if you are an apple user DO NOT UPDATE.

My game crashes are random so far. All at different stages in the game. I only played the four games and that is what happened. So it is no good.

ok... that sucks. i thought it was one person (i have an ipad 4 and works fine in here), but since i see a few, it has to be an issue.

shooting an email to apple right now to see what can be done, but you know how it works... apple takes 1 to 2 weeks to push updates

My iPad just alerted me to the update, and of course I installed it without reading here first. I am stuck with the game saying 33% ready on the start menu.

I'm going to try a couple of things to see if i Can get it running.

I use a pad and find when there are updates , if I don't install it after a time I can't get into the game and I'm forced to install the update. And this jail breaking heard about it is it safe to do and how do you do it and what are the benefits of it exactly.

Voids your warranty. So never tried it. You can google it for info. I'm just not paying full price for a new phone after I do it and it dies.

I am also having this issue, iPad 2 os 6.1.3 with the newest version of dogfight. I can stand it till the fix comes out , it just sucks when I'm in a good game.

I, too, am having the same problem. Just kicked out of a game and was only cruising. This update needs to be updated ASAP.

Works great for me. Maybe a little lag but that's it.

Well, it's only 5 bucks if nothing can be done . The only thing I'd be mad about would be the fact that this is the best mobile game in the world and better than most computer games!

This happened to me only once when version 4.4.22 came out. It showed me "You are reported and banned for five minutes" until I've installed the update.
This update fixed the "soldier on carrier" glitch. So it was right and important to make all earlier versions useless to make the game fair to everyone.

Yes, if Apple finds out the jailbreak then you've no warranty! The first jailbreaks were hard to install and the risk was high to brick your devise. The current version is more user friendly and much easier to install.
BUT THERE IS STILL A RISK! A power failure during the installation will most likely destroy your devise. But after such an full brick it's also for Apple almost impossible to prove the jailbreak.
For my Android tablets I've many reasons to root. For my iPad I've only one important reason:
To be able to make a backup of my Dogfight app.
I don't recommend to do a jailbreak but if I speak for myself: No risk, no fun!

I got my iPad4 only to play Dogfight. I love my Macbook and I also use a Mac on work. But I never was a big fan of Apple and I still prefer my Android Tablets. So is this update not a real disaster for me.
Dogfight 4.4.22 was the first app on my iPad and my iOS was newest version. But already from the beginning I had problems that the game crashes when I go into tank or when I hit enter in chat. Not every times but very often. I also tried hard reset without results.

I think as more of informations we post here, as more it will help Zuperman!

But I just want remember:
This is not an important update and it takes at least 1-2 weeks to fix it!
When we force people to install it then they are probably not able to play for a long time.
Please think about it!

oh man I wish I didn't update, crashed on 4 games today...good ones too. teach me to read the forum's more often

One thing I've learned from pass experience with apple,never update before you come to forum and see how much damage or improvement is done.

Got exactly the same bug on the last update too but it was fixed within a week as I remember
