How do you use the stupid tank

How do you raise the turret

How come when I land in the parachute i spawn, I don't get the option to use the tank.

When I do land i see the option to walk however i hardly ever see a tank, why can't I find the tank.

Several times i parachute next to the airport, it would be great to use the tank. HELP THANK YOU

I'm not sure how basic an answer needs to be, but I'm going to be very basic. Please do not be insulted if what I give you is remedial.

You jump from a plane after being shot down. When you land in your chute, you can choose one of 2 options. Airplane or walk. To use the tank, choose walk. After selecting walk, you will see 2 joysticks. One controls aiming of your rifle the other is for walking. If you spin in a complete 360 degree circle you should spot your tank. Walk into it and your are now tanked.

The default controls you see are again 2 joysticks. The one on the left controls the tanks's movement. The one on the right controls the turret's aim. If you select the camera icon your point of view will change and this will give you an improved targeting view. I have not been able to effectively use this view and never utilize it.

If you are in a Bomb the Base mission and land too close to the enemy base, you will automatically respawn.... No tank.
In Zep missions, bombs and tanks aren't available
All other missions allow tanks without restriction.
Warning: if you shoot something, hangar, carrier another tank, the ground too close to your tank, you will be destroyed.
For all missions your tank will sink in the water. There are some areas (in the shallows and elsewhere) that you can drive your tank in the water. There is an area under the bridge with an invisible wall that will not allow the tank to pass. Finally, if you are really nice to Paul, he may show you how to get to the underground passages with your tank.

The tank is the box on the ground with the cigar sticking out the front end. ALWAYS found to south of your landing. To light cigar push button.
Interior view will lock brakes. Good for setting up shots at planes.

DAVY CROCKETT BOMBED THE LAST HANGAR AND WON THE GAME!!!

On a side note, it was about 4 Blues against one poor red (Belsaj), I was at Davy's 6:00 high, flying in support trying to (unsuccessfully) suppress Bel, and from my vantage point it looked like One Crater might have dropped his Skoal can on the floorboard and when he bent down to fetch it his head accidentally bumped the BOMB button.

But alls well that ends well, and I'd rather be lucky than good.

Here I am trying to pour my heart out to you guys and what do i get in return, laughter, lots of laughter. Lol. Thanks for the tips, im just now trying to figure out the tanks. Every time i try I end up like the picture below.

It's like driving on a dirt track. You have to go with slide, not fight it. I still turtle my tank all the time, but I'm getting better.

Since we are the subject of tanks, y'all give me your opinion. If I do turtle my tank in an irrecoverable way, I do not wait for somebody to take advantage of the easy kill. I usually autodestroy. Had somebody complain about that in a game. I cheated them or some such nonsense. What say you?

Well, PH, here's a tip that works about 25% of the time, so try at your own risk;

Turn the turret toward the higher ground in such a way that the blast flips you back over. 75% of the time it will kill you, but since Auto-Destroy kills you 100% of the time, it's worth trying.

But it still cheats your worthy opponents of their "hard-won" kill so maybe you should just forget it.

Thanks skunk. I can usually get righted if I'm on my side, but if it's a full upside down turtle, I hit the kill button.

In the right situation, you can still get shots off at the target when sideways or turtled. Killed a carrier the other day while on my roof. Drought glitch game. I got shot down at the boat, tanked and the carrier hit me and flipped me. One of the reds told the others to leave me... I was harmless. Got the last 6 shots off on the boat after I gave them time to bug out. Got see a red type, "harmless my ass..." As the win screen popped up. I do use the other view when I'm stuck like that. Easier to avoid the suicide shot in that view.

I myself hate tank driving but sometimes its the only way to get anywhere when others no names mentioned (you know who you are ) KEEP SHOOTING YOU OUT THE SKY!!!! I am not bitter lol.
i tend to go round and roud and round and tip over down hills its like the ground jumps up at me and hits me smack bang in my face lol. BAD ground!!!!

How do you raise the cigar thingy, i could not get it up. Why can i not get it up? Maybe that is what the right button is for but it does nothing even when I press the camera icon.

Also the tank stops when you press the camera icon, is that normal. AM I NORMAL? Im confused, I'm old, all i want to do is to get the cigar thingy to rise. Please tell me how.

Davy, its a joystick. Not a button. Put your thumb on it and move it around. I guarantee it will go up... And down... And side to side if you slide your thumb around on it. I know you can get it up. Don't let these kids think you can't, especially because your old.


Ooh yeah sometimes your chute will hide your tank. If you can't find your tank after spinning around, look behind your chute.

Thanks parrot-head. I must have a technical problem because even with my thumb on it nothing happens, it does not move. The left button works fine. I guess I will try again tommorrow. Good night all.

Also how do you spin around, my man faces one way only, you can move him forward, sideways and backwards but he is always looking at the same landscape. How do you spin? Take care.

It's the same stick on the right to spin your little man around.

Well manfred, I'm glad your having such a good laugh at my expense but I suppose your cigar thingy works just fine whereas my cigar thingy will not.

As per the comment above I enlisted the aid of my wife (see picture). She sat her walker aside, put the beer and cigs on the coffee table, got comfortable and went to work. The cigar thingy just refuses to rise and therefore cannot shoot.

Bottom line is this, the right button will not work, Im on a ipad, is this a problem with the ipad. Has this problem ever been reported before and if it is a problem with my ipad do you think it can be repaired. It is a new ipad, i think generation 3. Thank you.

I tried the tank again, the right button just does not work, bummer. I guess the tank option is out of the question for me. However given that, this game is a blast, you all all funny.

On rare occasion I use the tank. If I remember correctly the left button(joystick) is for driving and the right button(joystick) aims the cannon. But like I said, I rarely use the tank.

I got my cigar thingy to work. I found the tank behind me by walking backwards, still could not get man to spin, anyhow i got into my tank and maddog appeared in a tank right in front of me. I hit the fire button and killed him. My first kill from a tank ( im crying again), then i started playing with the right button and after awhile the cigar thingy worked, the button did not move easily but it did move. Im soooooo happy, im crying again. Cake for everybody.
