I purchased a new phone that was once again compatable with the app. Using my same email and login. When I got into the game I noticed immediately that my name had been changed and I was demoted. I was told by echoboom that the app didnt do it. So I guess echoboom just called me a liar.

My Name was Lake Placid Blue and I was a Group Captain 11. The App changed my name to Lake Placid Blue2. With no help from echoboom I decided to change the name they gave me Lake Placid Blue2 to Stratocaster and now I have to fight my way back to my rank and re-purchase all the planes and upgrades. By the way I had to re-join the squadron I created. The 103rd Aero Squadron.

If I didnt love playing this game I'd just quit and tell echoboom where to stick it.

Here's what I see in the mod panel. There is a player name Lake Placid Blue, rank 11 with 850 kills. Then there is a player named Stratocaster, rank 6 with 71 kills. (And right now there's nothing showing for Lake Placid Blue2 or Lake Placid Blue 2, so looks like the recent name change worked fine.)

Had you ever registered more than one game name, or tried to register the same one twice? The reason I ask is that, from your description, logging in with email and password on your new phone brought up a different player name, even though Lake Placid Blue is still in the player list with a rank and kills etc. Unfortunately, I don't know how to access your Lake Placid Blue player login.

Did this new name (and subsequent change to Stratocaster) start at rank 1 and zero kills? Full stats for it right now are 79 kills, 5 hangars bombed, 631 deaths, 433 crashes, 55 games won.

It might help if you sent the text of my post to whomever you contacted at echoboom. But let me know about the above and I'll try to help here.

Manfred, I got banned as Stratocaster for a few days. So, I decided to load the free DogFight app. I put in my info for Lake Placid Blue and couldn't believe it. My name and rank came back up. I went ahead and paid for the app. Although it would not work until the ban was lifted.

Strange things happened but it was those strange things that brought my name and rank back like it was. I will explain. When I loaded the free app I thought there was no use in trying to get my old name back. So I tried to be sly and put my LakePlacidBlue name back in with no gaps and registered it with a different email. gmail instead of its original yahoo.

It was amazing that when the game finally opened up. It had my Lake Placid Blue name in with gaps and restored all my planes and former rank. I was Group Captain 11.

I'm now both Lake Placid Blue & Stratocaster. Commodore 13 in both at present time.

Also during my ban I discovered the Rise To Glory WWI dogfight app and have found it to be a great substitute with a greater choice of planes and no censorship for speaking your mind and so no banning of members for deeds or words.
