Did you know, we don't really have a guidebook? We have tons of material for help on particular subjects but they're all scattered like the lofted pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. There seems to be an endless repetition of the same questions as the game gets larger and larger so I've taken it upon myself to sift through the garbled mess and compile a one stop shop to answer the most frequently asked questions such as:

• Mission Objectives (i.e. bomb the "tents", yes those are the hangars ya noob
• Large Map (Courtesy of DK and others)
• Ranking/Points system (Courtesy of PH and others)

and other such basics that we all learn eventually through the virtual drills. This is a "Beta" page where you can feel free to help me in my quest of sorting through the haystack and post links to any relevant piece of information you may want to contribute to the ultimate guidebook. Let the posting begin...

What does a yellow light mean?

Thought of it myself, but don't really have the experience to put it together. But I'm new enough to remember the questions!
The reason I came here to begin with was to find some instructions. "Use Search" doesn't cut it here, (I tried over and over).

Here were my first questions;
How do you land? (Coming in low, flat, and near stall wasn't natural).
How do you auto-destruct? (Like when you're turtled on a carrier - see above).
How do you shoot from a parachute? How do you aim?
How do you get a tank? How do you aim it? (Still don't know)
What are all the icons and information given on the screen? (Especially in CTC).
How do you take down the Zep?
What do those funny names mean above someone's rank? (How come Mom has a man's name)?
A little primer on what this community is about, what is acceptable behavior, ("don't shoot blue") etc. would be nice too.

Octavia and I have been working on an unofficial website guide to everything about Dogfight the Game. We were going to release the beta once we had some significant progress in.

We've been at it for about two weeks: we've completed the Basic Controls Guide, and the Practice Mission Guide. We are currently working on the Multiplayer part of it, obviously the biggest and most important part.

I'll set up a few Alpha pages for preview in a little while.

Hey Luna, err.. I mean Luna, that's awesome of you two..and what is Octavia's game name anyway? I haven't been properly introduced. Any who, I've been in touch with the Zup man himself about this, and he has informed me that this is something they've been wanting to do for a while.

I think it's just a little part for us to "give back" for such an awesome game and community. And what better way than with your website and my guidebook contributions. A thank you and a Karma (once in a blue moon)
