So, I just found a really nifty bug for sneaking around the enemy. Idk if this is just a glitch, or if it is part of the game, or if it may be possibly be caused by the new update, but either way, it should probably be fixed... or not... you decide.


So, as we all know, if we are shot down, we can parachute. Doing so will result in an extra death, but for most of us, the points you obtain for bailing are worth it. Continuing on, after you bail and land (If you manage to land that is), you are given the choice to proceed on foot (With a tank) or go back into a plane. Should you choose to "Walk" and wait outside your tank, you are able to walk around shooting your rifle at planes. However, once you die, you are given the option to quit, or restart.

This is where I noticed the bug.

You are still able to walk around after you are killed on foot, if you have not entered your tank. This I have found, gives you an "Extra life" as you are able to basically sit there and play dead until the enemy passes, and once they have, you can enter your tank, hit the player list button (This will remove the quit/restart options) and continue heading towards the enemy base in your tank, and you will still have full functionality (Moving, shooting, etc.)

Again, you guys can decide if you want to call it a bug, if it should be fixed, or if you want to keep it for use. Personally, since it is a bug, I think it should be patched, although it can be very handy and I tend to use it at times, more so on bomb the hangers. I will try to make a video, although, I am not sure how I am going to. (No jailbreak, and trying to record with computer sucks.)

Interesting. Heres another for you:

After shooting down an enemy who bailes out, four hits on their flaming plane will cause them to be "shot in parachute."

Even if the plane is far away.

I will test this one out. It may explain how some pilots are SO SKILLED at shooting me in my chute. I have been truly amazed by the consistency by which some have been able to do this. As a counter, I have started waiting until they pass before I chute if I'm close their base/carrier and intend to tank.
Fuck this place. Second rate hack playing in a yard that's too big for him.

Interesting. I consider my chute-killing skills to be pretty good (critical if you want to make any progress toward bombing anyrhing without spending time nailing leftover tanks). But this may explain some pilots who seem to kill me in my chute even when I have timed my ripcord strategically.

As for shooting the little pilot, I think less of moving my bullet stream into the pilot, and more of placing my bullet stream in his path and letting him fall into it. That thought process has upped my first-pass chute-nuking capability greatly!

Confirmed and should be fixed. Not really fair. This needs to eliminated. I'm sure several others have figured this out. I'm just slow on the uptake I guess. But it does explain the previously assumed supernatural ability of some pilots. Loosing a little respect for some. Disillusioned again!

Yep when you see a stream of bullets going over yer head that seems to kill you thats whats happening. This only has been going on since the update.

I prefer to shoot the guy in the chute cause it takes less hits and gives more satisfaction.

If I'm not mistaken, shooting the parachute itself has always downed the pilot, but it takes a lot of bullets (pilot body only takes one).
This explains the bullet stream over my head, and the streams off to the side must be the flaming plane being shot.

Hmmmm very interesting. I never new that. Never tried shooting the shoot. Also never noticed shooting the plane kills the little man in the shoot. All this time I have spent practicing shooting that tiny man and now you tell me :) gettin pretty good at it now though.

Continue to shoot the plane after you have shot it down and you will most likely kill that person on the runway after respawn due to lag. Not as much any more since immunity but it used to happen a lot. Very frustrating to be killed at respawn from a battle you already lost.

Oh yeah! Sometimes right at respawning, I've had bullet holes show up on my windscreen with no one around. I wonder, is that my lag, or the original shooter's? Gotta remember to turn on my phone wifi, as 4G coverage is horrible around my house.

Its the game server causing lag.There are too many people on screen talking about the lag for it to be down to the user.It cant handle the amount of global transfer goin on especially with these graphics.Z could do with being informed.
To me the game was never about graphics anyway,it was about game play and its kinda loosing its appeal.
This chute glitch is just another aspect that is unfortunatly ruining the game.

I heard it refered to ask carcass camping;

Definition: shooting into a dead avatar to score hits during the breif period where there are essentially two avatars.

This can happen during any of the possible death/respawn transitions such as:

Tank turning to aircraft,
Aircraft turning to parachuter,
Parachuter turning into aircraft.

I agree J4ff, that lag increases the problem, but i think it could be fixed for two of the above "transitions," in this way--

If there was a waiting period of about two seconds between the death of the first avatar and the creation of the second it seems like that could fix most of the occurences.

Not that i know what im talkin' 'bout!! At all!

There is a huge bug in the protect the zep game. I won't put it out here because i dont want it used by every one but I'd like to PM it to some one. It will totally ruin the zep game for us all. Not sure who to send the info to.

Think I found one in the CTC game to. I will test it out and get back here.
