I am looking for advice on how to fix my problems when it comes to lag (or at least this is what I think it is). My bullets have stopped working essentially so I shoot right into someone and I can see my bullets go into their plane or tank and not one registered hit shows up. I also seem to crash on spawning at least once for each 10 spawns. How do I figure out what's wrong? It makes me want to stop playing since I just seem to fly around and get shot down.

I think the spawn crash happens to everyone if you spawn at the same time as another player.

The thing with the bullets,i have noticed you can be peppering an enemy with no registered hits then a team mate kills them and instantly i get a full screen of hits.Now it could be down to a lack of performance with the device or the further away from the server you are the worse it gets.As the game is developing it is requiring more from your device and more data transfer i assume.
Does anyone know where the host servers are?

Well my problem is different...Some games I cannot play due to lag. I just played a game where players kept vanishing and people were shooting me and nothing....also when I shot the zep nothing. I follow people and they bounce all over then streak across the sky. I see so many people with lag when shoot them they vanish only to appear a little distance away and have shot me down. I had to quit today since people weren't stable and just bounced making them near impossible to hit. How can we fix the lag issue?

Have you noticed if this happens during peak times.The service in your area may have high utilization during peak times between 5 and 10pm.These can create bigger ping rates,jitter and packet loss.

I have it seemingly 100% of the time and since I watch my bandwidth so far my DSL never slows down....since DSL is a dedicated connection.

Close all your apps down and empty your cache?

I learned this by being myself very laggy the last weeks:
A high-download-featured DSL connection is useless if you don't manage to free some of its upload speed. The game servers needs to receive lots of data from your device.
At least here in Brazil, unfortunately it is common to have DSL connections with good download speeds (10 Mbps is the most common), but with a very low upload (something about 500 Kbps or less!!!). And if you have a PC turned on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, like I used to have few months ago (for torrent file transfer purposes) chances are that your upload is being used by your torrent client, for example, or even by some other programs or other users. Try to control how other users/programs are using the upload part of the bandwidth (lowering it or even stopping it) and see if it works.
And of course, follow the suggestions by other members of this forum about stopping all other programs in your device, specially those that uses internet traffic.

yeah I don't run anything else in my house torrents p2p or anything...it's worse when my whole family is on their tablets but it seems there is an overall lag and then people with extreme lag that jump all over the screen and bullets come out like water froma hose.

Maybe check upload/download speed with your device lying sideways, like when playing. Both my 4g and wifi are much worse this way, and there are few places to sit that have enough speed.

I live on a ridge with cell towers on all sides. I've played on wifi a few places but I swear that I'm faster at my house on 4gLte.

Speeds are Ping 15ms down 16152kbps up 1096kbps

Well its my time to suffer.i cant hit a thing lately its like one bullet in every five actually does any damage.Planes hyperflyin all over the place sprayin bullets.So jumpy i cant line a shot up cant chase because its not smooth.Laggy bomb button.

Hey guys, i have some of the same issues. Plane is very slow, other planes fly right pass me and they are the first planes you get in the game. My bombs wont drop half the time and when they do it misses by mile. I cant aim cause the planewont respond to my tilt very well. I shot at a tank that was sittin still and missed every shot, up close at that. To make matters worse the whole app crashes on me and i get kicked all the way off the app. Not ti main screen, but to my phone sceeen. I have re calibrated both phone and game and still dont work.

Any ideas on why this happenes.
My phone is a htc one x 4g lite.

I hope we get some answers soon I can barely play. Just like J4ff planes hop all over the screen and I can't hit anything....even when it looks like my bullets are right into the plane no shots registered. I have to keep giving up and trying another game and hope for less lag. Please can someone tell us how to at least troubleshoot the issue to find at least the cause if not the solution.

OK does anyone even care?? I just played a game where the lag made the person vanish only to show up in our base in a tank and win the game. Most of the time I have to quit since the lag makes people impossible to him since they bounce all over the screen!!!

The numbers we get for a connection are just to our nearest internet server though. It is possible that there is a much slower connection down the line getting to a game server. The internet is what it is . Some of us will always be blessed. I believe Z tries his best to make it even and like J4ff said it is worse during peak times of local internet usage. Where I live there are times (After school lets out?) that I am nothing but a flying log and shoot styrofoam bullets. I try different strategies, hope for bombing missions and generally get cut to pieces. Contrary to popular belief losing can be fun too! Plus you appreciate the good times more! Or I could worry about my stats and not play.
