I got stuck on a carrier and could'nt get off, so I was banned for "Camping."
It's been over an hour and I'm still banned. Is there something else I need to do?

Been here a week now and I'm hopelessly addicted! Please get me back in the air as soon as you can.

You got banned for that? normally you would just crash after the end of the timer.youll probably get unbanned for that because its really weird to get banned by camping.

It did crash at the end of the timer,then it popped up a message that says,
"You've been banned and reported. 5 minutes."

Maybe a glitch? Anyway, its been way over 5 minutes.

Skunkoil, I was the one who banned you. But it wouldn't have said, "Five Minutes", that's strictly when you've been team killing and the database issues an auto-ban.

I banned you because you were in a Bomb the Base mission with me, Swopcamel and several other players...I got on your tail several times, so did Swop, between us we pounded at least a hundred rounds into you...but you just kept flying, level and flat, no evasive maneuvers. I'm not exaggerating when I say I got credited on screen with as many as fifty hits at a time and yet you never even smoked much less fell. Hacking is a problem we Moderators have to keep aware of, and when I asked you if you were hacking you didn't respond at all. When I finally said "If you don't respond I'll ban you." you left the mission. It's always possible that such anomalous behavior could be attributable to lag, but the fact that you didn't answer then bailed seemed awfully suspect, so I quickly bailed and banned you before you could change your in-game name. (that's what most game-wreckers would do to avoid being banned)

So...I'm still not clear on how you got banned, whether it was my permanent ban or the temporary auto-ban from the game, why the game would auto-ban you for sitting on deck, how you were even still in the game after I'd issued the ban...and why you quit the mission when a simple response to my question could've cleared the whole thing up.

I un-banned you a while ago, before seeing this thread. I'd still appreciate some answers. It's impossible to prove hacking but at least we might get to the bottom of this whole weird carrier auto-ban.

I'm totally at a loss here. First off, I'm not smart enough to hack a game! In fact, this is the first multi-player game I've ever played in my life - and I've only been doing this for a week.

I absolutely saw no messages directed to me at all. I'm new and haven't tried chat yet, (have my hands full just trying to fly and stay alive so far and have no idea how you guys fly and talk at the same time)! But I would have leveled out and tried if I saw the message.

The only thing I can figure out is just before this carrier incident, I WAS in a "Bomb the Base" mission and EVERYONE disappeared! I was flying all by myself with no opponents (or friendlies) whatsoever. I went ahead and flew to the enemy base assuming other players would appear, and then bombed it, but it didn't register as a hit even though my "bomb screen" showed a direct hit. Didn't know what was going on, so I either crashed or self-destructed to get out of it, (don't remember which). (Something similar happened to me before when a game ended when I was taking off, but I was still left flying by myself). Then the carrier mission happened and i ended up upside-down then up against the super-structure on the boat and couldn't get off of it and was charged with camping.

From what you're saying, when everyone disappeared to me, I must have still been visible to everyone else, but invincible somehow (Probably because I was in some other dimension). Since I thought I was all by myself, I of course had no need to take any evasive action and just went on a straight and level sight-seeing tour to the enemy base.

Please accept my apology for this incident - I'm very sorry I offended anyone, but I can assure you IT WAS A GLITCH, and not anything I did (or could possibly do) on purpose.

I'm an older guy, a retired USAF aviator, and absolutely play in a fair, gentlemanly fashion and follow any and all rules I'm aware of. Thank you for unbanning me- when I see you up there again, hopefully you'll see I'm a very fair player even if not a very good one!

Skunkoil, it's I who should be apologizing to you. Joaquin, (the game designer) the other Moderators and I had arrived at more or less exactly what you've described here as the only logical explanation. Joaquin explained exactly how glitches, the dreaded lag, (look forward to that if you haven't already encountered it!) and hacking occur. In the case of hacking, well...it just doesn't occur. The game is effectively hack-proof. So your guessed at scenario is remarkably close to what I'm quite sure happened.

Once having jumped out of the game and implemented the ban I posted the story for the other Mods. The general consensus was that I should give you the benefit of the doubt. I'm happy to say I'd already done so, feeling that banning was too harsh without better evidence and given the glitchiness we all run into on a too regular basis. No one in that mission had ever seen anything quite like what we were seeing of you while you were seeing nothing of us!

Thank you for being so gracious in letting me off the hook. You did absolutely nothing inappropriate and I'm sorry the game ginked out on you the way it did. The bit about flipping on the carrier (I'm well familiar with that!) and then getting auto-banned? That last part has me completely stumped. Needless to say, I'm also sorry you got caught in my ban-happy cross hairs. We're a small band of Moderators trying our best to protect tens of thousands of players like you from players like I thought you might be. Our technical controls are improving daily as Joaquin irons out the bugs for us and we're all, although being comparatively new to the task, throwing ourselves into it with grim determination. Team killers, vulgar chatters, hate mongers...we're on a mission to mute 'em and boot 'em.

I'm looking forward to seeing you in-game again soon...and to you actually seeing me! It'll be a pleasure to say hi when you have the ability to say it back. I promise, no more bans. Unless you shoot me down. Then you're so like totally gone.

I think it's great that you try to keep things on the up and up - and having this forum available to work things out makes it more personable.

When I log back on tonight, I'll try to talk and fly at the same time and at least say hi. And don't think I'm too brash by taking on the best aces right off the bat - its some advice I picked up here on the forum. Supposed to make me better, but so far it just makes me humble.

I was just a trashhauler and tankertoad. My little brother is a fighter dude, so hopin' to channel his mojo...

Bad connections are causing some interesting features on this game... About a month ago I was playing and suddenly all other planes stopt and were like frocen on place. I shot a couple of these "sitting ducks" and started to get complains from players. I was totally invisible to others. Rebooting my phone helped all back to normal.

shooting a friend from behind is easy, so he did shoot that way, half for joke.
I saw that and warnEd him several times, in vain.

Tinger, I banned you, based on what I and others observed just a few days ago. Read the Blacklist thread, or just search for your name.

Players of this game do not care who uses your login, whether it's you, your evil twin, or your pre-schooler. If my dog taps the fire button and kills my teammate, I am responsible.

Let's do this: Your account will remain banned as long as you do not have 100% control of your iPad, since we cannot put other players at risk of (and I can't believe I'm saying this) your 4 year old. Let us know on this thread when you have solved your access problem, and how you have solved it. And merely warning him will not be enough for us to be comfortable with your home situation, since you related that you already tried that "in vain."

It's funny so recently a lot of people ask to be unbanned the think is if they do his as a joke for fun then they must learn the definition of fun on this game. This is from a real dictionary

Start a new account tinger, and this time make sure ur "4 year old" doesn't team kill or play with tanks. And by the way a 4 year old probably doesn't know what a tank is. U should have made ur son like 6-8year old next time to makeit believable

no, I never try to make me believable.
why a 4 year boy does not know tank?
he was born August 2008 - maybe 4 years and 5 month is more reasonable?

My 19 month old knows the difference and says planes tanks cars bikes etc she sees the banner at the top of the forum and says plane plane plane repeatadly but letting a 4 yr old swing your ipad around sounds expensive.
As a parent if you read the agreement at the start no players under 13 are allowed to play online let alone 4.

We're having more of these because the other mods now have full moderator controls; everything is fixed.

It's getting rather annoying having all of those threads with players begging to be unbanned.

Perhaps we should start a thread where users can argue their bans. That way we do not junk up the boards.
