no biggie, just letting you know that we are not just "gone". Dogfight is our little baby around here so in our heart it is priority #1. It's just when we have to eat and pay rent that it moves to #2 lol
I definitely understand how frustrating it is when servers go down and we can't play. When that happens, you should picture this because it's what usually happens:
1) 6am, wake up, check emails and... I get a flood of emails from the backend servers saying that something is messed up. (I created a system that every minute it checks for all servers so that I know when one fails and tries to pinpoint exactly in what).
This is the moment of == ALL HELL BROKE LOSE!!! ===
Joaquin goes across the house with OMG OMG OMG looks
2) 6am-7am, on the subway has to remote log in from a cell phone and take the laptop out with everyone looking at him like "one of those guys that work on the subway, get a life!", then begin checking wtf is going on with the servers with his sporadic connections. shooting emails to all tech-support existing in this planet so they can reboot stuff, fix their firewalls, run their updates etc and rebooting machines.
3) 8am if things are still not fixed I finally made it to the office so at least I have a faster internet connection to deal with the issue
Now imagine this at 5pm, 2am, 5am... it's lot of fun to work in a 24/7 environment lol
4) Hit reply to everybody that sent me an email saying that why they are blocked, why they can't connect, why my game sucks and I deserve to die on a slow burning death while drowning (yea, I got that one, still trying to figure out how to actually achieve that death
in sum, I love it. It's fun, it sucks sometimes but it's fun
