Beanboy hammered on him for a good 3, 4 seconds before shooting pour down. He then turned and headed again for the enemy base. I text "beany wanna explain"? During the long wait for him to respond he didn't make the usual apologies we come to expect when shot down by a teammate, fact nothing at all. After a bit this comes up in chat. "I didn't mean to hit him" I replied "bs I watched you chase him down"! Nothing in return from bean, game ended when we reached the enemy based and bomed the remaining hangers, approximately 3 min after the last chat I sent.

OK bean, you didn't mean to hit him..... (For argument) question1- the why were you shooting at him? Q 2- why go through the case efforts. Q3- why no apoloapologies to Plur for the silly accidentally shoot down?

It sure looked very deliberate, and your response was at best very weak. So what really happened that I missed and so did Plur.

Actually I was playing possum until the enemy planes went by, and then I intended to take off and get their last hangar. I spawned as a tank after you shot me and tried to get to their base, but one of you got there first instead.

Mistakes happen, but you really should have apologized.

I won't team kill Plur, but I'll do whatever else. No excuses. I can't stand how he demoralizes his team. I've been on the receiving end of it and its terrible.

I think the intent was to shoot near Plur and not actually kill him. However, Plur you've burned the bridge. We see you landing midfield we assume the Eeyore bit is coming. I'm not trying to push the issue and this question is more food for thought then responding.

I see words fore instance, unacceptable, demoralizing behaviors from Plur, I certainty don't condone his way of play, but I don't feel it's my place to put him in his. He isn't braking any written or unwritten rules. And now we are seeing good fair pilots pushing the envelope on getting there self banned, for a different but not "DF illegal" way of playing.

Maybe Plur could consider being a more active team player. I certainly seems that would make folks happiest. If giving up upon spawn, why spawn in the firs place?

Two weeks ago you still searched a whole week for only one of these games. Now you play two rounds and you got enough for a while. And no matter who wins or will lose, almost all players say GG at the end. Such games build the spirit of this community. That is the reason why we need a forum, why we build squadrons, why we find friends here. WHY WE SPENT TONES OF HOURS WITH A 40MB MOBILE APP.

Well, if you only play for the points then I can imagine how boring it is.
Especially while using your favorite tactics ( try to earn points without to play ), it's surely a lengthy process.

Change your tactics and you will see how much easier it is, to get points now. Even decent bombs on a boat bring the same fat points like a totally freaking tank after a epic rampage in the enemy base. (yup, we know how to play with fun)
Since Z changed the point system you can reach the MoRAF in a half time and faster...

Decent bomber (DF slang = sneaker) can win the game when it really was time to finish. But they also can ruin a good battle. No offense now, but when always the same one kills hangars, only by using the back door. Some times is a sneak-attack or a rush tactic good. But every times? Hello?

There are players after some BtB missions with 9kills / 48dead. No aces but awesome players. I guess unsung heroes is the right word for such guys.

Answer me this... Do you realize you're ruining the game for others? Do you care? Sure you occasionally pop in with what you see as a witty comment, but not once have you answered these questions.

If you didn't already know, your actions (not flying/fighting and spewing negative crap) completely wreck games. As I've said before you're non-flying/fighting is as good as teamkilling to me. Not only does it cause your teammates more deaths it robs them of a player that at least tries. You're comments are trolling... look it up!

I'm afraid you misunderstand my meaning with "cheap points". This part of the subthread was started by Jacklpe's flip comment about spawnkilling me. Of course, what he failed to mention was that he spawnkilled me three times in succession as I was beginning to taxi for take-off in a BTC game. He was not protecting other pilots during a bomb run and IIRC laughed when I pointed out what he was doing. Spawnkilling results in cheap points -- basically you're shooting down a defenseless pilot when he (or she) is barely moving, so even aiming is "cheap" in the sense it requires very little in the way of effort. Since he apparently has no conscience about this, I wanted to call him out on it.

With respect to bombing, the object of two of the matches (BEH and BTC) is to bomb successfully. There are other threads discussing the morality of "droppers" in such games and I won't repeat them here, though I will say I have no problem with people who drop bombs for whatever reason. They're simply focusing on what they do best, as do I. It's a pretty freewheeling game and Zup has provided an environment where many strategies and tactics can be applied, leaving it to the community and moderators to discourage certain behaviors (e.g., teamkilling, spawnkilling from a tank, obscene speech).

So I focus on bombing because it's the aspect of the game that I do best for my team (and I'm publically very critical of myself when I do it badly). Some people play basketball because they have talent with that game and enjoy it, others play chess for the same reason (some may do both but that's probably pretty rare). I bomb because I'm often good at it and I enjoy that, and therefore I tend to play BEH and BTC matches, and shy away from DF and CTC matches because I'm handicapped by declining reflexes and poor hand-eye coordination in fast-moving shooting scenarios (name me one other player anywhere near my rank with fewer than 10K kills, which has taken me two years to accumulate).

Finally, with respect to winning games, well, that's the object of the game, after all. Sure, playing is fun, but every match is defined by an objective, e.g., shoot down 15 opponents, bomb 8 hangers, defend/destroy zep, etc. I'm sorry, but I don't think it dishonorable, or contrary to the spirit of the game, to bomb 8 hangars successfully even if some players are enjoying shooting up other players (I would recommend a DF match for that). Likewise capturing an enemy carrier. Or destroying a zep. It's all part of the game.

Was it only 3? I'll try harder next time. Say what you want Pluribus, but all I see is talk. When it's game time, you leave everyone high and dry. I fought DXP and then Parrot for over 3 hours last night. When you spawned in on my side, it was like getting VD on a desert island... It's gonna hurt, and there ain't noone to help.

I'm not sure. That was a btc game. You did a fine job of handing me my head on a platter last night though.
