It sure is! It's not even fun for me anymore hahahah. I get first place with EASE. But I've always been extremely good at FPS games. I still remember long days of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Call of Duty (the first/best one!) and Battlefield 1942 when I was like...11 years old? Hahahah, perhaps that's where my fascination with war, love for guns and love of history came from.

And yes, I ran it on Windows. I only use Windows & Linux. I love Apple mobile devices, but I can't stand Macs. It's too...limited. Too simple. But the same goes with iDevices. That's why I jailbroke mine.

Any one tried battlefield 1942? It's free on origin.you can buy the anthology on amazon for about $10.00 it's worth it and a good price .if you do get it (anthology) then download the forgotten hope mod and the forgotten hope secret weapons mod I'm on the fhsw Europe server when there is someone .its a small community.

I'm mainly on moongamers,classic maps,24/7 wake.and on the retail version(anthology) I'm on the FHSW. Europe server.(they have a website) just type fhsw.battlefield 1942 mods are AWESOME!!

COD 2 "Big Red One" was my first FPS I ever got into. You could call it my "gateway" game.

Now we got recycled crap like Black Ops.

Really, I play on moongamers wake too and a modded map by some clan, the origin version. The anthology i have not been on in a while since everyone said they were switching to the free servers. Played alot on moronvile server on the anthology multiplayer.

Yes, the cod of duty series and MOH series were the first games i played since i loved watching the WWII movies.

Black ops just does not have the same feel as the above.

You make me feel old, I remember when Battlefield first came out and it was one of the defining games of my teenage years along with the very first (and only good) Call of Duty.

I used to be in a stunt clan for BF1942. I was a Demi-God when it came to flying aircraft and sniping.

Remember playing the D-Day mission for the first time on Medal of Honor? Gosh. I was immersed. It was a dream come true to experience it in a game.

The forgotten hope secret weapons mod is really the best mod it has over 600 pieces of equipment you can use (and more coming!)it has over 120 maps.eve of destruction is the best Vietnam fps mod too with A WHOLE lot of maps

Forgotten hope is a mod that brings new things to battlefield 1942 like the panzerfaust,king tiger,IS-2,and many more things.
Forgotten hope secret weapons is mainly a multiplayer mod but it adds a whole lot more stuff to forgotten hope ,including new animations (towable artillerie,bouncing shells and bullets) and the biggest tank ever the ratte.and a lot of super heavy tanks.

1918 I could never get to work.

But I loved Galactic Conquest. It was very reminiscent of Star Wars Battlefront.

My favorite mod was the Desert Combat mod.

Both! But I preferred extended.

I remember easily racking up 120+ kills per game in a A-10 Thunderbolt II per game.

I have it .i recommend realism because when you're low on health your screen is bloody and theyres iron sites .but extended has a lot of stuff.

Have you tried the home front mod?

The forgotten hope secret weapons mod is somewhat like world of tanks,world of infantry,world of warplanes,and world of warships put into the battlefield 1942 game scheme.

aside from this game dogfight I've only played 2 other games in my life,
Pong and PAC-MAN... and I was goooooood

Anybody like the IL2-Sturmovik game series?I played a demo for BF3 one time.All I did was get in a jet and kill everyone.It was the Aftermath expansion.

I have il 2 sturmovik 1946 (just got it about a month ago) but I played the demo so much I'm more or less an average or veteran.
