So, hopefully a handful of you folks might recognize me from when I was more active in the 2011-2012 time frame, and I've been on and off, mostly off, over the years. I am back for the 3rd or 4th time, and I'll try to play more, even if I can't string long multi-match binges anymore, which really makes me sad seeing as I don't have money. but oh well.

I was just wondering if anyone that remembers me is still around.

Lots of changes and a few familiar faces. New planes, new missions, revamped forum, squad rankings... still DF! Stick around a bit , other "old timers" drop in here and there.

Yeah, I've seen, there's now a WWII mode. Which is super expensive. And there's a bomber mode, and Capture the flag. And time limits, which means no more massive 2 hour battles.

Yep.
But there's also 3 bombs for a Sopwith Camel, a whole forest of trees to tank in, anti-aircraft guns on the carriers.... Oh yea, soldiers can swim now! (Lol. I'm still not sure what good that does.)

As for $$$? Oof. I'm still not fully upgraded on any WW2 planes. 250,000 points for a spitfire upgrade takes a while only playing a few times a week. Zup made a big advantage for squad members with the "squad vault". Every time a squad member earns (or buys) coins an equal number of points goes into the squad vault. As a squad member you can claim your share (without decreasing form anyone else's) in addition to all of the coins you earn.

Still no real "squad wars" but a squad's accumulated points are now available for comparison. Check some of [NLR] The Blue Fighter's threads for standings. Very serious stuff.

If you guys are wondering, the powers that be made it so that Hurricane Harvey hardly touched my house, only one room flooded, and that was the one room we were expecting to flood. So luckily nothing valuable was lost, but minor ceiling damage occured, and the rug was ruined. Most of the damage came from the leaky ceiling.
