Happy 4th of July, everyone!!

Just a quick dose of history relative to the game: The U.S. Army Air Service (USAAS) was established on May 24, 1918, and despite its nearly 7-month long cameo in World War I, it left its mark on the conflict. 195,024 men were serving in the U.S. Army Air Service by the end of 1918 (both overseas in France and at home), operating a total of 7,900 aircraft. Though it had a short life-span during the war, 765 enemy aircraft and 17 enemy balloons were credited as having been destroyed by U.S. Army Air Service pilots. By 1926, just 8 years after the end of the war, the Air Service had reduced its strength by 185,000 men!, having a total of just 9,954 pilots in uniform, and only 1,451 aircraft.
