Hi,

I've been playing this game for over 7 years and in all that time until very recently I've had a fighting chance to win. Not anymore. It seems a little unfair I show be flying a DH 5 against all Fokker triplanes sometimes up to 4 enemy planes. When I first joined I was flying a Sopwirh Camel. I win all 7 practice games flying that plane. Now that I've upgraded to dogfight elite I am not only outmatched but often out flown. Whilst I don't mind a bit of a challenge it's a bit rich to match obsolete aircraft against superior planes and not be given a chance to at least bring one or two down before they overwhelm you. I manage to get at least one in practice game 5 but it's just impossible to bring them all down especially if the enemy planes fly " through the trees" and not between them. If you're gonna make this game realistic then at least give us a chance to " bring down" an enemy plane by flying between the trees and or under the bridge where he has to follow or go over...... I do barrel rolls Immelmann turns even rolls off the top of loops then dive between the trees only to see the enemy plane has flown straight through them! I like a bit of competition but this is ridiculous.

Just a thought.

For one thing, you should have been able to transfer your progress from df1 to elite.

As for flying a dh2 or an e3, yeah. Its a lot harder. But thats how the game is at first. Most experienced pilots won't kill you too too much, but that is what comes with the territory. Once you fly more and get better planes you'll be able to join the pros.

Thanks for the info. Question now is how to transfer my data from dogfight to dogfight elite. Any clues as it hasn't done so. Second question how do I join combat flights on elite? I am an ex RB3d pilot and though I still have that game have lost contact with everyone on there.

Cheers

FYI flying e3's was a knack that required a lot of crashes to obtain. Lol last night I shot down 3 of them pesky Dr1's but as usual trees don't let you fly through them. Unlike the 4th dude who came from nowhere to end the game. I was playing game 5, of the practice sessions.

All data was transferred prior to 2016, and I believe an update was transferred in March of 2016, therefore all your information if you had been in DF1 prior to the transfers have already been done. If you continued to fly DF1 in 2016 before it shut down, I believe all that is lost. You'd have to contact Zup at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to find out for sure.

Combat flights? All missions are combat flights if there are reds.

Good observation schtein, i have no trees and would love to have them, mainly so opposing pilots can have a fair game. I try not to scrape the ground but have no idea where trees are for those that have them. I vote all or none for the trees.

To fly
Combat missions you have to use the multiplayer button and it should bring you right there

What doesn't kill you can hurt like the dickens!

Nice to see someone still concerned about opposing pilots getting a fair game in what often seems to have become little more than a squad war, point-farming frenzy . . . but I would expect nothing less from you Cush.

I'm on the flipside of that coin; I've got trees, I would love to stop facing pilots that can just ignore the trees I have to contend with, but I really wish Zup could fix it so everyone could enjoy the challenges and tactics the trees provide.
